After running from Crewe today
& 67015 set 7 there from yesterdays 1V46,
Canton rarely held 3 sets last night
& is on course for 3 tonight

1V50 has now been binned at Piccadilly, starting at Cardiff according to JourneyCheck!

So I still make it 3 sets at Canton Saturday night.
67020 Set 5 - 1V42 Friday
67015 Set 7 - 1V46 Friday
67012 Set 6 - 5V50 ECS Saturday
Ran in 1V50 path empty.
Plus 67025 & 67029.
67008 Set 4 did leave as 5W65 ECS
To Crewe in 1W65 path.
67020 Set 5 - 1V42 Friday
67015 Set 7 - 1V46 Friday
67012 Set 6 - 5V50 ECS Saturday
Ran in 1V50 path empty.
Plus 67025 & 67029.
67008 Set 4 did leave as 5W65 ECS

All sets have had a once over and repairs today and some have been given authority to go back into service. HD04 HD05 and HD06 however have not.
Plan tomorrow sees 3 and a half diagrams using the cleared sets, the diagram starting 5V33 isn't running for a couple of days to try and balance things and get some of the additional sets off Canton.
Tomorrow should see:
67016+HD01- 1V91 Etc
67010+HD03- 1V31 etc
67008+HD04- Additional checks/testing at Crewe (expected back on Friday)
67025+HD05- Additional checks/Testing at Canton (expected back on Tuesday)
67012+HD06- Further monitoring at Canton AM then should work 1W59 1V50.
67015+HD07- 1W13 etc.

Is it known what the issues were with each set? And why some wont be back?
HD05 is mostly to clear the set of any part to play in the failure last week. HD04 and 06 have been plagued by electrical and air conditioning issues for several weeks, so those two are behind. 04 has been the worst so will be getting more in depth testing of its systems to get to the bottom of it's gremlins

Looks like the knock-on effect of all of this is that the 17:30 from Manchester is scheduled to be a 2-car 197. Be nice if the 3-car that is subbing for the 18:30 did not have to and could actually support the 2-car on the 17:30.
Also, the 16:30 from Manchester still only runs to Cardiff despite the fact that the 18:30 is not a Mk4. Again disproving the suggestion that the 16:30 terminated short at Cardiff because otherwise its ECS arrived back from Swansea at the same time as the 18:30 arrived into Cardiff.
A very good week for staying at home.

Yes, seems to have progressively lengthened as the day went on. First to a 3-car and now a 5-car. Credit to TfW for finding the 197s.

HD05 and 67020 have been reunited at Canton and are planned out on a test run tomorrow.
Diagrams from tomorrow have temporarily reverted to the ones from pre last week with 1W11/1V37/1W61/1V62 now back to being booked 3 car 197. The other 4 are all planned out tomorrow using HD01/03/06/07

1W96 cancelled due to a "fault on this train". Probably puts a spanner in the works for tomorrows plan too.

RTT states door fault, left Cardiff 5W96 to Holyhead. Likely to prevent overloading Canton or the issue will be rectified before service tomorrow.

Looks to be surprising that it got that far, will have messed up Crewe being in Platform 6 for half an hour. Had already lost time at Hereford.
Turning at Wilmslow is a common reality for those of us trying to travel to Manchester via the Marches.
Points failure Hereford then passenger had a medical episode onboard at Crewe requiring paramedics.
