Yes. That's exactly what is planned to happen, hopefully a little more successful than yesterday's identical swap.

Loco wise, 67022 and 67029 are expected back at ATC tomorrow, 022 will go onto HD03 following it's test run earlier and 029 will be spare/recovery for now.

No should be 5, 07 is planned to just be a 1 day job on some catch up repairs, 02 was the same on Tuesday and 04 is the same tomorrow so that should be back available on Friday.

After Tuesday's success, today was not so great for people waiting for 1W13 at Swansea. Likewise, for anyone wanting Swansea on the 16:30 from Manchester. Hopefully ticket acceptance was in place with GWR to make the connection to 1W13 in Cardiff. 14 days now without a full 5 diagrams operating though as it was not engineering that caused the Swansea to Cardiff to be cut on 1W13. Hopefully tomorrow will be the 2nd day with all 5 in full.

My apologies.

I thought it was too good that we had a direct Mk4 in both directions on a weekday. What is given with one hand (1W13) is taken away with the other it seems.

I did take the 17:30 last week, which now does make it past Cardiff, but they only got 2 carriages to achieve the feat. It was cosier than I would have liked, but not exactly full and standing with 2 carriages. Thankfully that was 4-car from Manchester as there was no room on it until Crewe.

Some fuel point problems at Canton causing problems getting sets off, the same problem that 5W13 had yesterday.
Set was prepped and ready to go other than that so it should be out on the second trip. 197 now shown for 1V37 from Crewe.

022 is already on HD03 while 029 is planned to replace 016 on HD05 tomorrow night.

Everything bar HD03 is planned to be available for the next couple of days.

55 minutes late south of Shrewsbury.
ECS late into Manchester then stuck behind stopper to Crewe.

I suspect it's to facilitate the "counted place" reservations associated with advance tickets.

I was more getting at why don't they give out real reservations, Arriva did it so why don't TfW? Presumably they can still sell advance tickets with a real reservation instead of the 'counted place' things.

I believe they were suspended during covid and by the time everything was getting back to normal, the fleet replacement was on the horizon. I don't know if there are any long term plans to bring back actual seat reservations once all the new trains are in service and everything is settled down with allocations and availability.
