TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

67016 is now out of the paint shop and out and about:

Yes, it’s been out since Tuesday

Not entirely sure why but it's having a loco swap over the course of the day with 67015 coming off and going onto HD06 which then has a loco exam over the weekend while HD04 should be back out on the Swansea start tomorrow but now with 67010 if all goes to plan.

Crewe should have HD01 and HD05 on the normal Crewe starts plus HD07 which is planned to swap in at Crewe on the 04:35 from Cardiff and back out again at Crewe on the 16:30 from Manchester tomorrow.

'Newbie' 67016 is due to make the move from Crewe ETD to ATC tomorrow to start it's life with TfW Acting as rescue and recovery to begin with.

HD04 not out again 1W13 is a 158 !

Must be still some issue with either loco or set (or both!) That set was planned to be the Canton diagram tomorrow so hopefully it can be sorted.

Some swapping round got HD05 on the Crewe diagram and HD04 did make it out on the Cardiff, HD05 will stand down tonight for a 1 day loco exam tomorrow.

67016 is now planned to run light engine to Canton tomorrow before taking 67015 back to Crewe ETD for repairs before 016 then returns to Canton and goes on HD06.

Got HD05 and 04 through Llanharan today, both working fine. Supposing HD05 will just jump back in on either 1V33 or 1V31 on Tuesday.

Ooh! Hopefully we get it out soon, faster we get it on 06 the better!

Yes it will be on one of those as HD02 will stop for the same work on Tuesday so HD05 will go out on Tuesday in it's place.

Should be on 06 tomorrow evening provided it manages Crewe-Cardiff-Crewe-Cardiff so Potentially it could be ready for service from Tuesday onwards.

67010 failed on prep (again). Due to to this there's been several changes of plan. This will now join the other 67 being taken back to Crewe for repairs so 67016+015+010 will head to Crewe together with 010+015 being deposited at ETD for repairs.

67014+HD01 swapped from working 12:49 Cardiff to Manchester/16:30 Swansea and instead will work 17:14 Cardiff to Holyhead.

67016 will now head to Cardiff tomorrow and will have 67012 with it, 016 will go onto spare set HD06 and 012 will go onto HD04. As there's no set at Canton, The Cardiff start tomorrow will only work the evening Holyhead formed of 67012+HD04 whilst the early part of that diagram will be a unit.
HD02 will run for an extra day before it's loco exam and is now planned to cover the Crewe to Crewe diagram for the exam to take place on Wednesday.

HD05 was taken from 1W19/1V50 (now 197115) to work 1W96 tonight due to the cancellation of the light locos to Canton, they're now both working expected on Canton around 16:30. Supposedly it'll go ahead with 67012 + HD04 on 1W11 tomorrow with 016 + HD06 as the spare on Canton.
This is all supposing it's the same locos which I'm assuming it is.

Yes that still still the plan, not sure why there was a delay sending the locos to Canton
As a shakedown for both loco and set, 67016+HD06 are planned to do shakedown runs around 12noon Canton-Newport-Cardiff-Newport-Canton, as long as that's a success it will then be cleared to enter service.

Should be 67020+HD03 there stopped for a B exam and 67017+HD02 now stopped for a loco exam tomorrow. Aren't planned to be any spare locos without sets there.

All seemed to go well, it's planned to be the Canton spare tomorrow.

HD07 is planned to head to Crewe ETD for storage tomorrow pending a heavy exam. Likely to be there until early next week.

Unfortunately looks that way, door fault on HD06 with all doors on 12222 not operating so it was failed on shed and swapped to a 197.
