67016 has emerged from Toton in black and is currently working 6Z21 Toton - Shirebrook, expect it to head over to Crewe on 0K54 soon.
I make that 3x 67 in TFW black now 016, 020 and 022. Am I missing any or is that it for now?67016 has emerged from Toton in black and is currently working 6Z21 Toton - Shirebrook, expect it to head over to Crewe on 0K54 soon.

Brilliant! Hopefully it'll be out and tested for the sets quick! Not sure how this process goes really, but here we are!67016 has emerged from Toton in black and is currently working 6Z21 Toton - Shirebrook, expect it to head over to Crewe on 0K54 soon.
AFAIK the plan (a long time ago so may have changed to be fair) was to put it on a set at Crewe on exam, then when that set is released it would do a shakedown run, usually Crewe-Shrewsbury-Chester-Crewe or some combination of that before it re-enters service.Brilliant! That'd be brilliant! If I roll a lucky dice roll I have already booked tickets for Crewe on October 29th, 0849 off Cardiff, hoping for a lovely comfy journey up to Crewe and back 1510 off Crewe. Love to catch a picture of it in its new livery. If anyone has any as soon as possible, I'd love one. Thanks! And thanks for telling me the plans as always!AFAIK the plan (a long time ago so may have changed to be fair) was to put it on a set at Crewe on exam, then when that set is released it would do a shakedown run, usually Crewe-Shrewsbury-Chester-Crewe or some combination of that before it re-enters service.
HD03 arrived at Crewe yesterday for a heavy exam which takes 2 weeks and it was the intention to have 016 out the first week of October in service so timing wise would work quite nicely if that's still the intention.
Looks very smart. Is it likely this will be the standard livery for others when repaints are due?Photo by Tom Culshaw
Brilliant! Much appreciated!Photo by Tom Culshaw
Yes, any that get repainted will come back light that. The rakes are planned to appear in a similar Black and Red scheme after their overhaul.Looks very smart. Is it likely this will be the standard livery for others when repaints are due?
Excellent! A full rake in that livery will look amazing for TfW's premier trains.Yes, any that get repainted will come back light that. The rakes are planned to appear in a similar Black and Red scheme after their overhaul.

Believe it was a points failure at the west end of Central causing difficulties getting trains in and out of Canton. Please does anyone know why
1W23 was a unit & not 67015 & set 4
Thank you
Great thanksBelieve it was a points failure at the west end of Central causing difficulties getting trains in and out of Canton.
As a result the first Manchester-Cardiff is also a 197 when HD04 should swap in on the 12:49.
HD04 doesn't seem to have come back out.. a 2 car 197 on 1V50, yikes!Believe it was a points failure at the west end of Central causing difficulties getting trains in and out of Canton.

Not entirely sure why but it's having a loco swap over the course of the day with 67015 coming off and going onto HD06 which then has a loco exam over the weekend while HD04 should be back out on the Swansea start tomorrow but now with 67010 if all goes to plan.HD04 doesn't seem to have come back out.. a 2 car 197 on 1V50, yikes!
May I ask why HD07 swaps back out? I feel daft asking..Crewe should have HD01 and HD05 on the normal Crewe starts plus HD07 which is planned to swap in at Crewe on the 04:35 from Cardiff and back out again at Crewe on the 16:30 from Manchester tomorrow.
'Newbie' 67016 is due to make the move from Crewe ETD to ATC tomorrow to start it's life with TfW Acting as rescue and recovery to begin with.
Balances things for next week. If HD07 goes to Canton it'll leave 3 sets there (05,06,07) which it can't deal with at the moment.May I ask why HD07 swaps back out? I feel daft asking..

Hopefully that reliability holds up until a month from now! HD02 does seem to have settled down now too, which is a good sign.Balances things for next week. If HD07 goes to Canton it'll leave 3 sets there (05,06,07) which it can't deal with at the moment.
It means there's enough servicable rakes at each end for Monday including a Spare at both ends too.
It's certainly settled back down across the board with all sets and now 015 is on HD06 there's now a loco on all 7 sets for the first time in a while too. Even during the shortages reliability of the remaining ones has been good with very very few unplanned substitutions and no major in service faults that I'm aware of.Hopefully that reliability holds up until a month from now! HD02 does seem to have settled down now too, which is a good sign.
Has anyone got info on how HD08 is getting along, if it has had anything done to it at all is my main question!
