Hi All, I recently passed my vetting for this role.

I was told that start dates will be no earlier than April and there is a significant number of people of the waiting list, so my start date would likely be no earlier than Autumn. Did anyone else waiting for start dates receive something similar?

For those currently in training, how did you find the medical?

How is your training going? What is the dress code like – Office attire/ smart casual?
Hi Andrew, same as you. Applied in April 24 and was told the same about the start date

Hello guys, I have been watching this thread for a while now, got the offer in April 24 too. The delay was because of the cyber attack on tfl, the role was put on hold for a while. I was told I am number 79 on the waiting list last month.
Got an email giving me a possible start for training in May. Got to have a DBS done again and see Occupational Health next week. If they are clear then I hope to be starting my training.
Guys, it's a long journey, with waiting on Police Vetting and then everything else. I just hope that it will all work out for us all. Good luck.

I found out I was supposed to start in May. Unfortunately, there were no dates available for my occupation health, so I'll have to wait until the next date. With my notice period being a month it's probably best.
Good luck both

Just been looking at a lot the questions from you guys I do believe the first class will be in June! And because the union & the management have agreed to halt the strikes there will be a new pay offer & probably working conditions. Be patient as the process does take ages. I think new staff will be TSE/PT & roads. So a lot to learn. Good luck

Quick summary of my timeline...
April 2024 - I applied for the Days role. (later opted to be placed on the nights waitlist, but I think I am still on the days as well).
June 2024 - I received a offer.
July 2024 - I submitted my Vetting Form.
January 2025 - Vetting form started being processed.
March 2025 - Vetting cleared. (process here took around 5/6 weeks - probably caused by vetting unit strikes in Feb.)
Now I am waiting for start dates.

@Joe-7 - Hope the above helps! I can't answer your point around salaries as I am not at that stage.

@Ferreira91 - April 2024.

@ShakeelJ - Thanks for confirming!
Thanks for the reply mate all the best!!

Ah okay. I was told I missed the June start date and would have to wait for September. Might be longer if the new starts for June start in August

Has anyone heard anything back yet regarding a start date? Got the offer in July 2024 and still waiting.

I’ve passed the vetting in May, received an email saying that there’s a long waiting list of candidates. Reference check and Occupational Health should be done during summer, but haven’t received any news so far.

I got the job April 24 and I now have a training date for 8th Sept, it feels like "AT LAST". Contracts sent to me now signed and returned last week, although they wanted all original forms, bank details, emergency contacts and such sent again with 2025 on them.
I am grateful that I am finally able to start my training. Thank you for all the posts on here which have kept me going.
