I think the Streetdecks can go on more routes than the 330, the issue seems to be potential diversionary routes off the A6 for the 192 buses which seem to interwork a lot with other routes. Streetdecks from Hyde Road and Sharston also serve Stockport.

Agree about the possibility of misinformation, but seemed a knowledgable chap. The 330 certainly has space for more, always mmcs running alongside the streetdecks. He mentioned the 23, but again, who knows? He also quite rightly pointed out the railway bridge outside asda in ashton is marked as 14' 6", so in theory they wouldnt fit. Maybe coincidence, but just noticed the new streetdecks for liverpool carry fleetnumbers continuing from the stockport batch.

There are 60 due for Stagecoach St Helens so would mean that these new ones would have to start at 18991 which would overflow into existing Enviro400 schemes

There's plenty of unused numbers in the 18*** series so they may go lower if it happens.....(186**/187** have never been used)

The ones I've seen are starting from 18931. So basically they will be given the fleet numbers 18931-90.

As they only seem to work the 330 but the 330 also sees various E400 MMC’s I’d say they would probably receive enough so the 330 could be entirely Streetdeck - just at a guess.

Yep according posts on facebook the lease on the current site they operate from which is owned by Roger Jarvis is due to end this autumn so they were keen to secure something.
Who is Roger Jarvis ? Isn't Diamond Bolton the ex Arriva/Ribble garage?
What will happen to the site ?

Interesting that it appears the first examples of the new batch of Electroliners for Bolton have entered service on the 582 today, rather than the routes they were announced for (Vantage services and 8/10).

I would expect the new batch to be used interchangeably with the older batch and indeed with the electric Enviro 400s. It would add unnecessary complexity for no benefit to restrict the new batch to the 8 and 10 specifically - instead it will simply increase the total number of electric buses at Bolton depot so that the overall pool is large enough to cover the 8 and 10 in addition to the other electric routes.
There were indeed several electrics on the 8 and 10 today, and no doubt that will increase as more new buses come into service.
I expect V1 and V2 routes will retain their own batch as they have a different interior spec though.

Drivers of normal routes will not be trained on buses with guidewheels so will be banned on any other non V route, unless the guidewheels are taken off
I've just seen 2120 and 2125 in use on 582, along with 2107 from last years batch, surely this is just to run them in, though route 582 must surely be a contestant for new electric buses soon as well? I suspect the first part of the batch might be those intended for the 8 and 10, with the latter ones for V1-V2/V4.
Interesting about Rotala's interest in building a new depot at Lum Street, Bolton, looks like they are fairly confident that they will win new tenders when they are renewed?

Speaking to a GNW driver, ive heard the busway ones will be numbered separately (2301-43). Could this potentially mean that more StreetDeck Electroliners could be ordered for Wigan as not as many 21xx spaces will be used

I think its safe to say more Electroliners would be ordered in general. We don't know what will happen to Wigans fleet in the future, they might have their Streetdecks repowered for all we know...
It really would be a cost effective way if all the ex Diamond Streetdecks and Diamonds own Streetdecks and all the Metroline Streetdecks plus those at Stagecoach Manchester and the ex Metroline examples at Wigan where simply converted to Electric Power, although I am not sure the conversion space would be there to convert was numbers, it would be a slow process, I would imagine. It is also possible I believe to convert the Wright Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LH's from the Vantage to electric power as well, but wether that would be cost effective is anyones guess, given they are about 11 years old, and past mid-life.

Interesting coincidence that the last 3 digits on the registration plates on these Electroliners are in the same range as those used by some of the First Manchester B9 deliveries of late 2008

The first of the Vantage spec Electroliners are due for sign off at WrightBus on Monday.
Interesting allocation and working from Oldham Depot today saw Queens Road allocated MMC200 37632 spending the day on 59, 181/182s before finishing its day on the last 184 from Oldham-Huddersfield and return.
For the past couple of weeks Queens Road have been loaning various vehicles to Oldham Depot although its been usually E300s but this is the first time they've sent a MMC200 up which I thought odd as I thought they needed them all for service.
