That's my photo I took, haven't been asked if could be shared but nice to see it appear on here.

That’s very gracious of you, thanks for that.

For anyone else posting photos, please seek permission or credit the photographer.

Thanks

Just an update that 2120 MF26 DZM is now here having arrived onboard Stena Edda this evening, waiting collection from the Stena Line Terminal on the Wirral PXL_20260410_175027491.jpg

Are Oldham keeping the Optare/Switch Solos after Electrification for the 415 or are they replacing as well
I believe it’s supposedly moving to queens road. The original plan was to have all the solos together and a good proportion of the drivers know the 415/129.

Would seem logical for Queens to get 129/415s considering they already operate in/around Chadderton and parts of Middleton with 149, question is will the drivers need to learn the diversion routes for both routes or do they already know them?

Surprisingly not reported here yet, but it seems TFGM have sold the first Ex First/Go North west B9.
MX58DYD has reportedly been sold to Transpora and has been photographed by several enthusiasts at their Blackpool base.

A number of the poorer state B9’s were moved a couple of months ago by MBS but I’m not aware of any being sold on, despite them being advertised on Ensigns website a while ago.

IIRC MX58DWZ was sold to a Kent operator a while back

There is chatter online that it is stored there on behalf of Ensign. No idea if its correct but might not have actually been sold???
Makes me wonder if the 3(!) at that Zero 2 Museum in Essex are actually preserved at all or are equally just being stored…

No doubt now MX58DYD is with Transpora it will probably turn up back in Manchester sometime in the not to distant future on either Rail or Metrolink Replacements

I'd be surprised if Peter Newman wanted them for preservation but stranger things have happened I suppose...

Having seen a report on their new museum (Zero1?) in CBW there appeared to be one of these being used as part of the exhibit on vehicle lifts so they may have done so. They also have a couple of B9TLs to run their link from the museum to Braintree station (I have seen pictures of an ex-Ensign Olympus & East Yorkshire Enviro 400 bodied versions) to ensure wheelchair compatibility so again, for specific needs, they may want one/

For that purpose I can get but I would hardly say they're preserved as such. Useful perhaps.

Heywood had been due to close / Nelson Street open earlier this week but short-term lease extension lined up for Heywood to allow Nelson Street building works to be completed
Does anybody know if this building work has finished so Nelson Street is fully operational

The lease at Heywood was apprently extended to mid-May, so I would expect the move to be around then.

Presumably won’t be too long until they’re in use
2121/3/5/6/32 *should* be out on the road on Monday all being well.

In other news, like a catepillar into a butterfly, 6176 has metamorphed into 9012, has recieved Driver Training livery and has been converted inside for the role.

Had an interesting chat with a stockport driver trainer yesterday, who seemed pretty convinced stockport are due 15 more streetdecks in the near future to replace hybrids, presumably not new build??

It could be the Gemini 3s from GNW that could be cascaded down

While driver conversations about impending changes to fleets can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, if more Streetdecks are indeed due for Stockport Depot what route/s can they go on? I thought we had this conversation recently in the fact the reason why the current batch can only go on 330s is due to their height
