It is not running on the busway and was doing the diversion route.A mistake, surely? AIUI the chassis on Wright Streetdecks is too large.
That's a myth as debunked earlier in the thread.A mistake, surely? AIUI the chassis on Wright Streetdecks is too large.
E100EVs have arrived at Oldham to free up Solo SRs to Queens Road which will take over the Mellors due to go to Rotala.Correct but having driven similar small Solos that are older they have taken a lot of space out of the cab. I couldn’t drive one all day.

Yeah there’s some comments today that Diamond are running some of these services short today because they haven’t got the Fiat bread vans available - I believe they are waiting to get the 4 Mellors off Stagecoach so they can have enough suitable vehicles for the services.
How interesting. My bus to work (1035 off Leigh V1) was a Vantage B5LH via the busway as usual. That's a myth as debunked earlier in the thread.
A spate of broken windows amongst other defects over the weekend left Bolton short this morning. Any non guided vehicle with be on the diversion route avoiding the busway as mentioned above.
Did you actually see it doing the diversion route? According to bustimes, 2107, 2118, and 4039 have all worked Vantage journeys today, but for the most part they are shown as tracking on other routes at the same time.It is not running on the busway and was doing the diversion route.
No, I have not confirmed it by sight.Did you actually see it doing the diversion route? According to bustimes, 2107, 2118, and 4039 have all worked Vantage journeys today, but for the most part they are shown as tracking on other routes at the same time.
4039 hasn't been on the busway. It's double tracking on busways and Traffords, and I've seen it today on a 21.Did you actually see it doing the diversion route? Sight is not required, these vehicles do not have guide arms or wheels fitted.Did you actually see it doing the diversion route? According to bustimes, 2107, 2118, and 4039 have all worked Vantage journeys today, but for the most part they are shown as tracking on other routes at the same time.
I don't think the question is whether or not they ran on the guideway (because of course they didn't), it's whether they ran the V1/V2 at all or whether it was just some ticket machines programmed with the wrong fleetnunbersSight is not required, these vehicles do not have guide arms or wheels fitted.
No, the question was literally "Did you actually see it doing the diversion route?" and it was this I was answering.I don't think the question is whether or not they ran on the guideway (because of course they didn't), it's whether they ran the V1/V2 at all or whether it was just some ticket machines programmed with the wrong fleetnunbers
Well uncle Andy has been given more money from Westminster to buy a lot of electric buses so no doubt an order will be placed soon.I hope we see more new buses come soon to replace some of the older fleet
I think there has already been orders made but just awaiting approvalWell uncle Andy has been given more money from Westminster to buy a lot of electric buses so no doubt an order will be placed soon.
Look away…Horror on the V1 today
I missed the 1150 from Leigh, which was a Vantage B5LH, and then noticed on bustimes.org, the next FIVE departures were all non Vantage buses.
1205 B5TL (not the worst, admittedly)
1220 Evoseti
1235 Evoseti
1250 Evoseti
1305 B9TL
Three Evosetis in a row is rough, especially with othernon Vantage buses each side
I decided to do my food shop early and I’m now on the 1320 Vantage B5LH instead![]()
It’ll be the same three. Horrible things.Look away…![]()
I saw 48105 passing me probably a couple of broken B5sOdd workings from Oldham Depot this morning see Solo SR 48107 on 181 and 48105 on 348.
Majority of schools went back today so I’d imagine they were stretched.I saw 48105 passing me probably a couple of broken B5s
Yeah because some buses are away getting refurbed or some that have gone elsewhere like 10613 went to MiddletonMajority of schools went back today so I’d imagine they were stretched.
The diesel E400’s at Oldham were meant to boost the schools fleet but most have been out every day over the last 6 weeks suggesting Oldham is tight on buses.
I very much doubt it! Only not tracked for a few weeks.Queens Road Enviros 27957/8 haven't been around recently - are they withdrawn?
No, having work done in the depotQueens Road Enviros 27957/8 haven't been around recently - are they withdrawn?
What has First running B9s got to do with Stagecoach running B5s?Why does Oldham and QR have B5LHs because I think it's because of First having B9TLs but I'm not 100% sure
27958 returned to service on Saturday, but 27957 has been out of use for over a month now.Queens Road Enviros 27957/8 haven't been around recently - are they withdrawn?
Well B9s and B5s are both made by Volvo so maybe they needed an upgrade but they could've got Streetdecks instead if that was the caseWhat has First running B9s got to do with Stagecoach running B5s?
Some of the B5s are ex Go Ahead Oxford and had nothing to do with First...
