There's 7 LJ61s, however 3288 was already at bolton bringing it down to 6. There are 6 yellow evosetis not currently at Heywood, being 3051/2/3, 3062/3 and 3068.
Yes, there are 6 for Vantage as extras (so in addition to the EvoSetis @TT-ONR-NRN) but 4 will be in use with two for 'back up'.

I mean they have more comfortable seats than an EvoSeti (they’re the same design as stagecoach spec interior Enviro 400s) so I’d rather travel on it  -yes, I have just said something good about a B9 in Manchester, the world is almost certainly going to end now…
There's no putting the genie back in the bottle now you know ;)

So what’s happening to the existing Vantage buses?

Are there really just not enough then?

To be honest, I’m not going to be pathetic about the situation; if this is purely due to a service increase then I can hardly complain, or if it’s due to limited availability of Volvo B5LH Wright Eclipse Geminis for whatever reason, then it IS better than nothing.

What would have really infuriated me was if these B9s and Evilsetis were coming along just for the nice buses to be sent elsewhere.

I do wonder why it was B9s chosen with that basic interior though. While not as uncomfortable as the Evosettis and ex London E400s, the Wright Streetdecks you see on 35/36/37 etc. for example, are far more advanced inside and would have made for a much more reasonable substitute for the Vantage B5LHs.

There’s a timetable uplift on the V1 & V2 in a couple of weeks I believe
Well that can only be described as a good thing, so unfortunate as the saturation of non-Vantage buses is, I’m grateful for that. It’s already every 5 minutes at peak and 15 during the day, and it’s expected to get better??

From a selfish point of view, why don’t they concentrate the Vantage B5LHs on the V1 and use the Evosettis and B9s on the V2 ;)

Because that's not fun knowing some people on here don't like certain buses :lol::lol:

I’ve since found out BZL/E400EV/Streetdecks have two big a chassis to be guided. How interesting!

The B9 is out today, as well as FIVE Evosetis :(
And a B5TL with the usual refurbished Bee Network seats and interior, which obviously isn’t as nice as a Vantage, but is absolutely fine, perfectly adequate.

15 Vantage B5LH with leather seats and tables
5 Evosetis with the rock hard ex-London seats
2 B5TL with the standard high-back refurbished Bee Betwork seats
1 B9 with the thickly padded Stagecoach style seats
on the V1/V2 today.

Eight non-Vantage buses out must be the most on the route in a while! :(

To add, there are x2 E200MMCs coming across aswell.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

First x3 coming across today, the rest on Monday apparently. Should be on the road sometime during the end of the next week.
Any full list of Streetdecks and E200's moving to Wigan and there new fleet numbers

Guess if 2 MMCs are coming then 2 of the old E200's are going?

I thought First Leeds run StreetDecks on guided busway and we evaluated a BZL as a potential future order for the busway, so I'm not 100% sure thats correct...

Electroliners and Kites are Guide Wheel-fitted in Leeds. They trial fitting them to Streetdecks back in 2018 with one of the 355xx batch being used as a guinea pig but it didn’t work out that well.

IIRC. I believe the test streetdeck which ran on the guideway ended up with major chassis damage. I don't think you will seeing diesel streetdecks zooming up and down the guideway.

According to bustimes.org 19 Vantage B5s have been out today, together with all 6 guided evoSetis, the two guided B5TLs, and 3285, i.e. 9 non-Vantage. Of the six missing B5s, one hasn't tracked since late July (3027).

I can't see why Streetdecks can't go on busway sure there lightweight chassis's also same bodywork so guess same width etc as the B5 Geminis

The two e200mmc are apparently on hold for now but will/should be DE483/4 to be 4153/4.

All now "GNW'd" as of today.
I'm very suprised they not been added to bustimes yet in GNW

I guess bar camera mirrors there practically identical to the Streetdecks they already have? Unless there other differences

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

The issue isn't the bodywork - the guidewheels aren't attached to the body, they're attached to the steering assembly.
Ah right fair enough but surly this could in theory be done to Streetdecks?

They won’t be on bustimes until they track in service. ;)

When I left yesterday they needed destinations updating and some had afew jobs that wanted doing following inspection. So really anytime between now and the schools going back.

Curious whether the drivers will need additional vehicle familiarisation, particularly as Wigan hasn't had buses with rear view cameras before - everything already there has conventional mirrors if I'm not mistaken?

Sure some of Wigan E200MMCs (smaller ones have camera mirrors)

Spoke to the engineer from WrightBus this morning, the entire StreetDeck order that should have gone to First Leeds but ended up with Diamond were all for the busway. Apparently the whole "chassis damage" claim was thrown about as part of the spat the two firms were having at the time. So they are perfectly capable of such work according to the manufacturer.
