I wonder if they’ll end up at Sharston, given it appears the BYD electrics there might not be staying…The 24 are going elsewhere in TfGM land!
Walked passed the TA center in Bolton this morning to find several new E400Cities all parked waiting for a home... See picture attached.
Seen are YX74 ONM/ONH/OMG/OMZ and others but the pic is blurry.
Apologies 36782 is at Middleton, it’s tracking as 36783.36782!
Was it out in service?I have seen one of oldham depots newer electric buses this morning on st Mary’s way which is registered SK74 BHJ
Yep cab layout is different to the older electrics and the big difference is the camera mirrors. Every driver has to have a 30 min session on the bus including a drive on the road. This will obviously take some time!As far as I know the new Oldham electrics are only out on driver familiarisation duties at the moment and none are out in service yet as I don't think all of Oldham drivers have had training on them yet.
Thank you for the information I know they are used on familiarised duty’s at the moment and will unlikely be in public service until January 2025Yep cab layout is different to the older electrics and the big difference is the camera mirrors. It will be well before January that they start to enter service.Thank you for the information I know they are used on familiarised duty’s at the moment and will unlikely be in public service until January 2025
As well as that pictures of SK74 BHN can be found on the bee network facebook groupIt will be well before January that they start to enter service.
Yes - SA15 VTY and SJ15 PJY have been photographed in Piccadilly Gardens today/yesterday currently being used on Driver Familiarisation and being housed at Wythenshawe.Have any of the ex scottish buses arrived? Sure i spotted one from afar in Piccadilly yesterday?
Are any of those vehicles expected to be repainted and/or modified internally before January?Plenty of movements in South Manchester over the next few weeks to get the vehicles remaining at Stockport into place - Most notably 50x Enviro 400 Hybrids from Sharston/Ashton/Hyde Road as well as some Enviro 400MMCs.
Doubt it, not sure if the remaining 17 plates are now staying at Stockport rather than moving to Queens Road now that the 24 plates are staying. Are any of those vehicles expected to be repainted and/or modified internally before January?
Fingers crossed everyone will be okay. 19246 & 11526 are the vehicles involved.taken from bbc news website. 2 double beckers have hit each other 17 injured . Hope everyone is OK![]()
Manchester double-decker bus crash leaves 17 people injured
Passengers in the two-bus crash are taken to hospital by ambulance, air ambulance and another bus.www.bbc.co.uk
How long are the classic E400s likely to stay in use?Something Middleton Depot could have done without as Solo SR 48109 is currently off the road after being involved in another RTC while it was on 115 last month and hasn't tracked since hence why they've currently got a E200 covering at the moment.
Looking at the damage to 19246 and probably its age I very much doubt it will run again but will anything replace it in short term?
Maybe just maybe a little too soon for them to have worked out a replacement 14 hours after the accident.Something Middleton Depot could have done without as Solo SR 48109 is currently off the road after being involved in another RTC while it was on 115 last month and hasn't tracked since hence why they've currently got a E200 covering at the moment.

They have the E200 from Queens road as Queens road has 48113 so it’s swap for swap. The reason for this is the Mellors are undergoing some warranty work so something suitable for 475/477/487 was needed.Something Middleton Depot could have done without as Solo SR 48109 is currently off the road after being involved in another RTC while it was on 115 last month and hasn't tracked since hence why they've currently got a E200 covering at the moment.

Who would have thought Stagecoach employ some very good body men who could probably have the bus back on the road within a couple of weeksMaybe just maybe a little too soon for them to have worked out a replacement 14 hours after the accident.

No way 19246 is coming back being a 17 year old bus with that level of damage.Who would have thought Stagecoach employ some very good body men who could probably have the bus back on the road within a couple of weeks![]()
