First and Diamond put Manchester on the display as well. The towns in the north of Greater Manchester still consider themselves as distinct from Manchester, although there is now more acceptance of being part of Greater Manchester.
It will be interesting to see what Metroline routes do. Before deregulation, all buses in GM put Manchester on the destination blinds, but after deregulation, GM Buses changed to Piccadilly etc. at depots in the south of Greater Manchester, and this has continued with Stagecoach. The south has always been more willing to consider themselves Mancunian.

Apologies if it's been stated elsewhere on this thread - I must have missed it. The attachments in post #1419 which show the new vehicles ordered for the bee network include the following bought by franchise operators:Middleton will be when it’s electrified. According to a recent FOI an operator has ordered 4 Enviro 100EVs too - no idea who or where though.

The first attachment includes proof of the 143 Wright Streetdeck Ultroliners on their way to Manchester too.

Does anyone know which operator / tranche these are for ?
I assume that the 31 x Enviro 400 quoted are the interim vehicles being used by Stagecoach in tranche 2 ?

The 59 Enviro400EVs have been bought by Stagecoach for Oldham, not sure about the Enviro100s or Streetdecks though.

Are the Enviro 100s about the right size to run routes 1 and 2. Maybe a trial batch before buying a few more?

Not possible since Queens Road isn't electrified, and wont be for a long time (if ever)

How did they charge the electric Versas which ran on the free bus?

There were chargers at Piccadilly station, almost always used to be 2 or 3 of them sat there charging.

Just to clarify. Only 2 possibly 3 of the Versa’s were electric. The rest were hybrid diesel.
They were charged outside the pits at queens road using long cables with a plug on the end. It wasn’t ideal as they blocked anything wanting to enter or leave the pits.
There was also a fast charger at Piccadilly station, but weeks before the Versa’s were withdrawn the company managing the charger changed and they were no longer able to use it which caused additional issues.

The 24 plate E400MMC’s have started to leave Queens road. 5 have gone so far, 3 to Stockport, 2 to Sharston. All will leave over the next few days.

Not great that the 24 plates are leaving QR really. The B9s are unreliable, there are single deckers on routes they shouldn't be on (for example, I had mini E200MMC YX24PGE on the 98 this morning which is FAR to small for the route, also saw an E300 on it too).

Yep not ideal but 37632 was swapped at lunchtime with a B9, infact all three singles that were out on decker boards were back to decker operation by 3pm.
It’s a sad state of affairs especially when the B9’s and scania’s are in such a bad state.

You're not wrong! Basically the only decent deckers we'll have at QR until the 69/20 plate MMCs arrive will be the 9 17 plates, the 4 tridents (which are going in the next week or 2 onto schools) and a few new 74 plate MMCs (the 6 oxford B5s are alright too I suppose). Not really a great advertisement for buses in the Bury/Salford areas of Manchester when most of the fleet are clapped out or unreliable, especially the Scanias which are by far the worst buses to travel on in Greater Manchester as a whole. It does sadden me to see the B9s in the state most of them are in, as I do like them when they're working. There are still a few good ones though.

Aye if everything goes to plan the latter part of Autumn should see huge improvements for Queens Road. First part of that renewal starts next week
The 24 plates departing is why the Scania's have reappeared on routes like the 135 then, rancid vehicles

After a 4 month absence from service - 15388 (YT59DXY) has returned. The loss of these 24 plates with no replacements when the existing fleet are past it is only going to end well.

Well spotted. It went out on 135’s this afternoon and performed well with no issues.

I believe the documents/pdf provided in chat stated 59 Enviro400MMC not 59 Enviro400EV as the new-ADL Enviro400EV is only 10.8m and which it would've been noted in that table as the same as the ADL 100 Enviro400EV. What I can see is that some bus operator have ordered 63 ADL Vehicles which is the same amount of vehicles that Diamond needs to operate the contracts they have won e.g. Tranche 3 & School's contract. It could Diamond may be the anonymous operator who's ordered 63 vehicles. :/

Unless the 31 Enviro400 and 32 Enviro200MMC 9.75m are destined for Diamond. Diamond is the only operator that needs 63 buses and it'll be done :/
