Who said all operational roles are equal? Don’t airline pilots pay for their own training? There isn’t solidarity between grades, didn’t the drivers taken themselves out of collective bargaining? Time served over 4 years and a degree is to what I was referring to, did you work under BR?
And if you don’t think all grades moan and compare to how the drivers are treated you’re in a bubble.
We don’t blame you, don’t take it personally, we’re jealous as we don’t enjoy the same favourable conditions.
Who wouldn’t? You’re being disingenuous if you think you’d be different.
Some close friends are drivers and I bare them no ill at all, good luck to them, this isn’t about what the drivers get, this is about what the other majority grades from the cleaners to the rpi’s don’t.

True, one thing I think we can agree on is a storm is coming.

Did it not already? Over the last 2 years?
There always will be a “storm” anyway at some point, if we’re going to use the metaphor in technical terms, you just have to prepare for it and ensure you have all the tools to get through to the other side :)

You do know about the changes to strike laws and being able to support your colleagues in other grades restricting what you can do,you bare no ill feelings but so clearly do or you wouldn’t be bringing these issues up regularly ,I have heard of many collections by drivers at most depots across tocs that have guards that donated a lot of money to help when losing money throughout strikes also donating directly to rmt strike funds no mention of this made from you though ?

For southern guards?
If there’s solidarity why is there no collective bargaining between grades now?
