I love Boris' statement
The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: 'This expansion of the DLR is a further demonstration of the improvements that the London 2012 Games are making to our city.
No mention of the fact that its been coming soon for about 2 years now hehe. Sadly, there is no body to fine for the delays as its all TFL.

But, to be fair, a lot of the improvements we've been getting since 2005 were linked to getting the Olympics - certainly in the north east of London.
I'm not saying projects wouldn't have happened anyway, but the Olympics probably ensured they weren't put on hold or cancelled completely. That's for road, rail and everything else.
