What about one of those question and answer situations, there are a lot of posts by people trying to help. Some of the questions are just to clarify details. Might I suggest a yes or no answer if appropriate so as not to re-muddy any waters. You seem to remember a lot so we just need to dig a bit deeper to help you.
So Question 1, You travelled from a station into Paddington Main Line?
Question 2, you then boarded a London Underground train?
Question 3, which took you to a station which directly linked you from London Underground service back onto to a conventional train service?
Question 4, This train and/or station were branded Network South East? and you alighted at a two track station?
Question 5, The station you alighted at was on a steep embankment but for road traffic there was not a bridge under the lines.?
Question 6, Passengers therefore had to leave the station on the 'correct' side for there onward travel or use a footbridge to the opposite platform? There was then a road running alongside. which you presumably used to get to the factory?
