Where? <(

A limited number of c2c services terminate (or start) at Thorpe Bay, not SRY, and head straght to (or from) the Carriage Sidings (of which there are 31 I believe).

Great. I've just sent us from the station to the immediate east at home to the immediate west!

That's four in a row...

Amazingly, according to station patronage statistics, the busiest four stations in the country to have no railway interchange facilities at all outside of major urban areas (in fact, it may even include all such areas besides London) are in south Essex - and all begin with the letter "B"! Basildon is one; the other c2c example is Benfleet.

(The other two are Billericay and Brentwood.)

Never watched it and don't intend to. And I also intend to take us away from home, but er...

Southend East was also opened in the early 1930s. (I didn't even need to look that one up )

Oh no... away from home... whatever will I do...

OK, seriously, next up is Yeovil Pen Mill. The lesser of two stations in an area in which the two are rather distant from one-another.
