A proposed new London Overground route would link Hounslow with West Hampstead Thameslink via the Dudding Hill line.

The furthest east one can travel on a through train from St. Pancras is to the Netherlands. However the furthest east one can travel without leaving the UK is Broadstairs.

Carrying on easterly, while Broadstairs is the furthest east you can go from St Pancras, Lowestoft is the furthest east you can go by rail in the UK.

Fishguard and Goodwick is another station that was closed in 1964 and has subsequently re-opened on the same site

Long Preston is also a station on Northern Trains Route 7.
Curses ... beaten to it!

So, Mr W Pedia tells us that William Tunn was the station master at Langley Mill between 1926 and 1937; he had formerly been the station master at Alfreton.
