Newtongrange is another former Waverley Route station reopened in 2015 as part of the Borders Railway on a different site to the original.

Seaton Delaval is also a single platform station on a former double track line that was closed in the 1960's and reopened in the 21st century to the south of the original site. Both stations are also served by a single operator.

Alloa is also a terminus on a line that continues as freight only (well in theory at least, nothing has used it beyond Alloa in a good while!)

Penychain is the second station from Pwllheli on the Cambrian Coast line. At the other end of the line Aberdovey is the second station from Dovey Junction.

Until closure of the line via Dolgellau and Llangollen there used to be direct trains from Barmouth to Ruabon.

Acocks Green is the first station after Tyseley Junction on the Chiltern Main Line; Spring Road is the first station after Tyseley Junction on the North Warwickshire Line.
