Bishop's Stortford also used to be a terminus station before becoming a through station. in the 1840s owing to line extension.

I don't think the GER ever reached Cornwall. Try GWR.

For several years Lelant only had a very restricted service. A full service was restored following the replacement of the Lelant Saltings park & ride with one at St. Erth.

Typo, apologies. Meant GWR, not GER. You're right, a GER train in Cornwall must be a mightily lost one indeed!

Worcestershire Parkway was the first rail station to be opened in the 2020s.

Welwyn Garden City was the first to be opened in the 1920s, that is still presently in operation. (Though this was as Welwyn Garden City Halt. However, interestingly it is the only non-London Underground UK station to be opened in the year 1920 that hasn't been shut down completely, but more renamed and remodelled).

Welwyn Garden City is one of the terminating points for GTR (Great Northern) trains from Moorgate.

Moorgate has 2 disused platforms which are strikingly obvious. They had a variety of uses over the years, from the Widened Lines project in the 1860s to the Thameslink Bedford - St Pancras service more recently. These days they are sometimes used for storage.

Another station with two very obvious disused platforms is March.

Going forward from March, we find ourselves at Spalding. Another former junction station, much reduced in size, that was served by the Great Northern & Great Eastern railway companies.
