Acton Bridge (Cheshire) is another multiword station where the words in the station name start with consecutive letters of the alphabet (3 consecutive in this case!)
Assuming that we're talking about Helensburgh Upper, the RETB control centre is at Banavie....about 100 miles away by rail. The station just serves as the point of interface between the RETB system and Yoker Signalling Centre.Helensburgh also served as a control center for the operations of Radio Electronic Token Block signalling on the line there onwards
Ahh right my apologies. I always thought there was more of a centre there. Shows what I know. Shall we go Banavie then?Assuming that we're talking about Helensburgh Upper, the RETB control centre is at Banavie....about 100 miles away by rail.
