Burnley Barracks is the first station on the Colne line which used to continue to Skipton. Likewise Edenbridge Town is the first station on the Uckfield line which used to continue to Lewes.

Clapham in Lancashire is another example of the station being outside of the village it is named after
Excuse me! Although it has a Lancaster postcode, Clapham is very much in North Yorkshire. ;)

Wennington was also once a junction for a long-closed double track secondary line.
