As well as Coombe Junction Halt, St Keyne Wishing Well Halt is another station of extreme few currently on the active National Rail network which contains the word 'Halt' in its name - "Halt" was previously included in the names of a large portion of former and current railway stations prior to the 1970s and was used for small, unstaffed stations which often lacked any form of building or ticket facilities and often were request stops. British Rail dropped the "Halt" name from many stations in 1974, but these two stations had "Halt" re-applied to their names officially in 2008.
