East Didsbury is another National Rail station which has a Manchester Metrolink terminus of the same name in the general vicinity, but not directly adjacent.
Hooton station once had a clock made by J. B. Joyce & Co, clockmakers, of Whitchurch, Shropshire; the company also installed synchronous electric clocks in a number of other railway stations, including Liverpool’s Lime Street, Aberystwyth in Wales, and Carnforth in Lancashire.
Castle Bar Park is an intermediate station on a short, diesel-worked branch line which missed out on being wired when the nearby main line was electrified.
A similar situation exists on the Morecambe branch for Bare Lane.
