Apparently, the Cotswolds has been well-promoted as a tourist destination in Japan and a steady stream of Japanese visitors (used to?) arrive at Moreton-in-March station, stand on the platform looking confused about where to go next, then approach the single staff member in the ticket office for help.

Kingham is also a DfT category "E" station that was opened by the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway.

When Kingham opened, it was named Chipping Norton Junction.

Another station which has seen junction-based re-naming during its history is the one originally called Newton Junction, then Warrington Junction, Earlestown Junction before finally settling on today's Earlestown.

The involvement of Sir John Betjeman in the saving of St Pancras station is well known, and is commemorated by the bronze statue by sculptor Martin Jennings, which was unveiled by Betjeman's daughter, the author Candida Lycett Green in 2007. Less well known are three life-size bronze sculptures of three passengers on Brixton station. Collectively named “Platform Pieces”, they are condemned to an eternity of waiting for trains that they can never board, and are sculptures by Kevin Atherton (b.1959). The subjects are three volunteers who regularly used the station (Peter Lloyd, Joy Battick and Karin Heistermann), and were unveiled on 30th June 1986 by Sir Hugh Casson as part of a £1m renovation of the overground station.

Battersea Park is the other station that immediately follows Victoria on stoppers (when one travels with Southern).

Battersea Park station has a polychrome brick Venetian Gothic facade, and is a Grade 2 listed building. It was designed by Charles Henry Drives who, in 1867, designed the new Leatherhead station.

Clapham Junction also has regular (and extremely frequent) train services to both London Victoria and Waterloo.
