There is also a safety warning at Betchworth station warning that some platforms there have none or only partial tactile paving on the platform edge and asking that passengers take extra care when using the station.

The station buildings built by the (original) GWR at Albrighton have been refurbished and are Grade II listed.

Another station retaining Grade II-listed buildings by the same Railway Company is Birmingham Moor Street.

Until 1938, there were three stations in the centre of Leeds - New, Wellington and Central. The first rationalisation occurred in 1938, when the first two were combined to form Leeds City Station, which opened on 2nd May that year. This was designed by LMS architect William Henry Hamlyn. A later, but smaller, station designed by him is at Lea Hall, which was designed and opened in 1939.

Sandhills was opened in 1850 as an intermediate station when the Liverpool, Crosby and Southport Railway was extended from its previous terminal at Waterloo to Liverpool Exchange. Another station opened at the same time was Bootle New Strand.

The Baker Way is a footpath running from Chester station to Delamere station within the county of Cheshire. The total length of the trail is 13 miles, and it's name commemorates the life and work of Jack Baker, a former footpaths officer for Cheshire County Council. The two stations are also connected by the Mid-Cheshire Line, and I'm sure that it's quicker by rail!

James Miller FRSE FRIBA FRIAS RSA (1860–1947) was a Scottish architect, recognised for his commercial architecture in Glasgow and for his Scottish railway stations. Notable among these are his extensions to Glasgow Central station (1901 – 1905) and the design of Wemyss Bay station (1903).

As it seems that the computer has decided that my post was later than py_megapixel's post, I'll replace it with this:

As stated above, Smethwick Galton Bridge is a split-level station, and has platforms on two lines, allowing interchange between them. The two low-level platforms serve the Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton Line, while the two high-level platforms serve the Birmingham Snow Hill to Worcester Line. One of the stations served by trains on the latter line is Old Hill.
