Herne Hill is a busy interchange station, with over 1.5 million interchange passengers in 2018/19 year, according to ORR statistics.
A similar number of interchanges was recorded in the same period for Cardiff Queen St.
Bedford is the traditional Northern extremity of Thameslink operations (before expansion in recent years). The Southern extremity in the same period was Brighton.
The original station hotel at Cannon Street was designed by Edward Middleton Barry, who was also responsible for the station hotel at London Liverpool Street.
When Nutfield station was opened on 1st January 1884, the station buildings were similar in style to those at Sandling Junction, although no footbridge was provided at Nutfield.
