The station's service pattern is unusual in that it is served by trains on two completely different routes in either direction. Southbound services originate at Gerrards Cross and call at all but a few intermediate stations (the exact stopping pattern varies depending on the day). On northbound services, however, Denham Golf Club is the first calling point after London Marylebone; these trains then continue past Gerrards Cross, stopping at most intermediate stations before finally terminating at Banbury. The respective corresponding services in the opposite direction pass through this station non-stop. This means that the only stations to receive direct, regular, all-day services both to and from Denham Golf Club are London Marylebone (the terminus) and Gerrards Cross (the next station to the north).

Cane Hill Tunnel (nearest station Purley), which looked more like a long bridge than a tunnel, happened vice-versa. It was demolished and formed a cutting for the fast lines on the Brighton Main Line.

I say a station and the person below would say another station that has something in common with it. It doesn't have to be unique, but try and make it as different as possible and please ensure that all associations are rail related: a separate game exists for non rail related links. For example I might start with Cardiff Central, the next person would reply Kings Cross (both have a platform 0) and the person after could say Gatwick Airport (another Network Rail managed major station).

Note that you should only reply with a station on the main BR network (e.g. not Underground or Preserved Railway) that is still open.

Is it not the case that it is railway stations and not railway infrastructure that should be where the associations are made upon this thread?
