The original station building at Malton was designed by the architect George Townsend Andrews, who was also responsible for the same work at Scarborough station.
Chiltern Railways operate just one service per weekday from Old Hill; this is the 21:10 London Marylebone to Stourbridge Junction service, which departs from Old Hill at 23:36 on Mondays to Fridays only.
Kirton Lindsey was also opened by the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway and had its inaugural services operated by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway.
