Truro is a three platform station that had services run by the Great Western Railway, similar to Birmingham Snow Hill (who currently only has three National Rail platforms).

City of Truro was a well known GWR Locomotive. Another one is Nunney Castle, which is not far from Frome.

Norbiton is the local station for Kingsmeadow, where the new and much-loved AFC Wimbledon currently play.

I would have said Crawley on the basis of it also being home to a new League team, but Crawley are SCUM!

"Super Mare" is of course an upmarket way of saying "on Sea", and does not refer to an improved kind of horse. ... And if we want to talk about "on Sea", surely the UK's finest On Sea destination must be Southend-on-sea

Urgh! Super-Mare may be an upmarket way of saying "on-sea" but the town itself is quite possibly the worst seaside place in the country! (Hmm... maybe Margate or Skegness.) I may not exactly like Southend but even I wouldn't mention it and Super Mud in the same motion. (Mostly.) Indeed, as much as I hate to admit it, Southend probably is the "finest" "on-Sea" in the United Kingdom, or even possibly anywhere allowing for the relatively scarcity of "on-Sea" elsewhere (as opposed to "sur-la-Mer", for instance).

Feeling a bit jaded, after a long Consultancy meeting that I have attended, even though I am retired (but was asked to come back to help out), so I will say....

New Malden was built by the London and South Western Railway and is a two platform station managed by South West Trains, as is Norbiton.

Bush Hill Park is 9 3/4 miles from a London terminal

Cherry Tree is also a somewhat local station to feature an umbrella term for a type of plant.

It also happens to be a certain someone's home station!

Nairn station is managed by First ScotRail, as is Keith

Not knowing anything about Nairn, I looked it up, and I find that James Augustus Grant who discovered the source of the Nile together with Speke was born at Househill, attended Nairn Academy and died at Nairn in 1892. There is a plaque to his memory in St Paul's Cathedral.
And Speke, of course, is the site of Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Or even Nairport. To which Liverpool South Parkway is the nearest station.

Altrincham is a rail and bus interchange, as is Liverpool South Parkway

A slightly awkward use of the word "pole", as in Polesworth, involves a certain type of dance. This type of dance goes hand-in-hand with the word "lap", and in keeping with the second syllable in Polesworth - Lapworth.

Sutton's victory was at home, whereas Alty were away, and, as you know, away goals count double.

Falmouth Town is a single platform station managed by First Great Western, as is Finstock.
