Folks,
Big spread in yesterdays Sunday Mail(scotland)A Scotrail employee with 37 years experience,3rd longest serving in the company, who manned the station, did all ticket checks, cleaned and looked after the station was sacked due to a breach of saftey regulations.
cut a long story short, the guy knew that no trains were due and he walked over the line to clean the other part of the station, cctv observes this and the poor old boy gets done.
This boy is well known and respected.Passengers have started a petition to get him reinstated, they have also handed over £700 to him for welfare purposes.Local MP for the area who is also a BTP Special Constable stated that it was a bit harsh re this outcome..............Rules are rules however seems a bit harsh
