14208 has been on DD08 this afternoon 1445 to Kirkby Lonsdale and return, should then have worked the 1647 42 Blackpool, but was swapped for 16664 gricers like, Leyands but pax dont.

Don't expect to see bigger buses on the 89 until the route at Stakepool has been sorted. The bus spins round in the road at the Elletson Arms, something that anything bigger than a Solo cannot do safely.

Are they going to change the route or just leave and tell LCC they can stuff it? What was the last part of your first line I didn't quite understand it lol.

I excluded 13296 (13297 has already been sold) from my analysis as it's a fairly recent new comer to NW in the scheme of things.

Incidentally, 13296 is the last GM Standard 13xxx Olympian with Stagecoach.....

Dallamlad: Gricers (spotters) like Leylands, but passengers don't. So 14208 was swapped for 16664 on the 1647 Blackpool 42.

WHAT COMPLETE UTTER MORON TAKES A CAN OF PAINT ON THE BUS AND DROPS IT ALLOVER THE FRONT OF 22814 NEAR THE COFFIN DODGER SEATS!!!!!

This is why we are not supposed to let passenger travel with paint, as highlighted in a recent newspaper article which i cant quite place at the moment

They transferred to barrow in exchange for the 2 mega-deckers they had at the time 14239 and 14240 and yes it is the last GM Buses olympian with stagecoach, i wonder if it will go into preservation.

I was thinking exactly the same Dave. I know I've seen it somewhere, not sure where though

Jonesy - I suspect Mike Nash will take 13296, so it'll be a preservation of sorts.

There was recent discussions in the canteen recently..

and i found this which actually refers to Thamesdown Transport and has the following quote (which might whet your appetite into reading it all) "It is company policy not to carry tins of paint because of the risk of spillage but the driver was incorrect to suggest it was due to a potential explosion."

16328 off to Preston to cover for Tridents/E400s going off for repaint maybe? Don't forget that 16352 (I think), currently in use as a spare, is due at Carlisle.

16352 was meant to go when accident damaged 18146 re-entered service (which it has done for about 3 weeks now), but seems to be hanging around like a bad smell. Should go soon though as its not tacho'd nor has CCTV.
Haven't seen 16328 in use as yet, although no doubt if we're allowed and its serviceable it will sneak out at somepoint if needed!
In other news, 52529 has spent the last 3 weeks or so parked in the dead lane at Frenchwood having come down from Lillyhall, still in trans cumbria livery. *Think* its being worked on prior to returning to cumbria for repaint prior to transferring to Frenchwood on a perminent basis. Typically probably after the summer peak on the X61!
Look out for 18374 returning to its old haunts during the summer on weekend service X8 as most weekends its the booked vehicle.

Glad to hear 52529 has finely begun to move around :) what is it replacing again?

Be interesting to see how long those Olys stay down there!

nice to see 52629 FINALLY getting sorted out for X61! (52410 was removed from service with 52629 to replace it, but then with all of the floods up here, it ended up just sitting around). i still think its a bit unfair how we always get the sh*t stuff from Preston, yet the best of the 4 Jonck's is sent down there for the X61...

just a thought with stuff down Preston & Chorley area:
16327 and 16328 were both removed from service in Preston, and both have went back down for service. 16352 is still lingering around down there as well. could it be that them 3 stay down there now, with 18157, 18158 and 18159 moving back to Chorley, seeing as them 3 remained unbranded? all of the PX04 ones, excluding tacho'd 18156, (not sure on 18146, with it entering rather late) are Coastliner 68 branded.

also, a little observation which i couldn't be bothered putting on here yesterday.
Lillyhall is now down to 14 "minibuses" (excluding 42565 which is being operated from disposals). 6 mini's are needed for Workington Town Services, 3 for Whitehaven Town Services, 1 for Maryport Town Services, 2 for 58, and 1 for SL Ltd Contract. so effectively, 14 minibuses are covering 13 needed. take into account 2 of the 14 are knackered mini Darts, 3 are knackered KX51 Solo's, 2 are not as knackered PO51 Solo's, 4 are rather useless 04 reg Solo's, 42025 is step entrance, and the only other 2 are the 08 reg Solo's. that = various problems to arrise when various buses start dying out!!! they really should have withdrawn 2 B10M's with loss of Sellafield work instead of low floors 33167 and 33168! there's also the lack of wheelchair loading facilities on 34079, which now pretty much has to be used on routes where the wheelchair access is used! the whole "we will try our best to make sure the next bus along is low floor" doesn't work on most of the town routes up here, due to them being 1 bus on a circle!!!

Oxford have taken delivery of the chassis of Hybrid Enviro400 12026 for the technical staff to look at and get to grips with before the whole batch is delivered.

They have also got two new solo SL's numbers 47735/36.

Not SCNW I know but thought it may of interest to somebody. I imagine Manchester will receive an Enviro 400 Hybrid chassis as well before they take delivery of their Hybrids.

Also something that may effect us is something I read on another forum. SC Warwickshire are set to take possession of 5 Scania deckers to replace some older Tridents. They were bought as part of a kickstart bid. However there has been some doubt as to whether the funding will ever arrive what with the recent cuts announced by the government. Does this mean that the funding for the X12 may be in danger as well? I would have thought that the new Government would honour the commitments made by the previous administration that have already been put into action...

Also interesting thought! Bet Preston would be fuming if this were the case lol.

Do you know what the future holds for 33143?

Isn't it strange when we have a conversation about any issue/vehicle it seems to pop up within a couple of days!!:lol:

20763 had been on Seaton 47 today, and was later replaced by 33169. 34079 was also on.
47061 and 47007 on Harrington.
47024 done 48 and staff shuttle.
20129 and 20130 on 30 and 31.
22597 running Staff Shuttle's!
all 4 R reg Oly's on 300.
20777 was on short 300's, being replaced by 42565 (disposals bus replacing a disposals bus!)
20994 on staff shuttles.

also something that p*ssed a few people off:
a foreign driver on TransCumbria pulled up randomly on a main road into Workington, to "cash up", sign off the ticket machine, and sign off the defect card! he'd just passed a bus stop which wasn't on the road, and decided to stop in the road, stopping traffic getting down into Workington! if he'd just waited until turning the corner, there is another bus stop there which doesn't obstruct moving traffic. he didn't really move over to the left of the road either! just sat in the middle of his side of the road!!!

Yer yesterdays where due to the accident near carlisle birdge. yesterday as in 11th

Once again it was a lorry that had shed its load, all over Morecambe Road between Carlisle Bridge and Scale Hall Corner.

As Paul said this caused all kind of problems to the bus services in Lancaster!!! Hence the odd workings.

42565's tax is up at the end of the month, wonder if we'll finally see the back of it!
seems 20777 was re-taxed after it was placed on the disposals list! its new tax expires on 30th april 2011.

came across some interesting info!
it was previously mentioned on here that 15675 - 15682 were going to Morecambe (8 for 40 and 41), with 15683 - 15686 for Lillyhall (4 for 300). it seems that 15687 and 15688 are also on order for Stagecoach North West. anyone any idea's where they're going and what they're for? (i'd hope LL so there's some spare low floor deckers for 300!)
