22809 heading south near Yealand about 9.30- where had it been. Fitter with long hair and a woolly had driving it

It was going to the M.O.T Station at milnthorpe.
The future of 16666 will be decided today as it has gained a crack in the chassis after being refurbed in june last year.
It looks like the scousers will see the new scanias before we do as they will be used for the golf tournament in liverpool later this year.

Spotted Gez driving 20451 on the 49 at about 2.55. Is there a shortage of drivers as I saw another white shirt driving the other day...

Just keeping my hand in a, few Ridges and a ouple of Haltons with said B10M.
It would have been a blue shirt had I run it through the washing machine since I used it Sunday :D

Oh sorry to hear about 16666!

I had 20451 on the 18.58 81B from Halton.

18361 came of the 3 at 19.30 and went onto the 2a at 19.50
22809 back out on the 40.
17021 on the 6a. Supervisor put it on because a Versa was late coming in.
17017 on 3
20133,16664,16877 and 20547 parked up at the bus station. They had disappeared by 22.40. May have gone on Carletons.
22818 parked up at the park hotel stop near Bowerham showing Private hire on the blinds at about 22.55
21005 worked a 55a out of the bus station at around 8ish this evening.
17023 was taken back to the depot around 1940 because it kept stalling when reversing.

47023 Currently orbiting Maryport on the Circulars, With an Inspector on the entrance footplate... Long time since i've seen an Inspector on that route!!

34616 on Barepot 30s

20779 on LL's 300 runs... Showing "Carlisle - Via Workington, Maryport....." I take it LL's Destys have not been reprogrammed for this route, since they have only just got one bus on the run back per day quite recently? still, at least it shows something on there, rather than a piece of paper in the window i suppose! :)

So at least one K reg staying then! Unless they are painting it into something else for sale lol.

From a Passenger/customer standpoint, it is worth keeping, even if just for Schools... it is probably the smoothest of all the remaining K---DAO B10Ms, and i would say just as comfortable a ride as the P & R reg examples. I Wouldn't be surprised if it has the most miles of the entire batch too, as it seemed to run 300s for the majority of it's life day-in-day-out!!

i can second that! i've found 20777 and 20779 much better than 20129, 20134, and the M reg's! only been on 20962 out of the R reg's, which was equally as good as 20777 and 20779 really! all other K reg's need to go!

Yes, I would assume so, I would guess she will be one of the last K reg's to go.

From a drivers point of view, the best of the K reg's are 20765, 20777 and 20779, the worst are 20757, 20759 and (never thought I'd say this), 20768.
The R reg's are a much smoother ride than the K's, M's and P's.

Also, 16654 will re-enter service soon after its refurb.

It seems like they have been doing 16654 forever!

Also last night someone threw a rock at a double decker as it was heading toward the Carlisle Bridge and smashed the front window.

Must've just missed you again Josh, I did see KendalKing getting off his Solo though ;)

Nothing else to report except that a bus failed in Carnforth this afternoon, I've no idea what, just overheard Little Dave explaining to a passenger about it.

I have a feeling if they are going to be 10 plates if the scania's are going to be used for shuttles for the golf tournament.

They're going to have to be, the Women's Open at Royal Birkdale is 29th July - 1st August, nowhere near September when the 60 plates become legal....
