It could be either 16664 or 16665 that could get the green livery depending if 16648 turns up.

Oh so we're meant to be getting 16648? I would have thought that would have joined 16649 at Chorley. But yeah both 16664/65 would be good for both the green livery and the stripes as they haven't been repainted yet...

The bridge situation is not looking good. The clear up operation is going to be immense.

Workington... Yay.
Just got some info about Workington Bridge (Calva). After an inspection by civil engineers is has been condemned. So no matter what happens, the whole thing has to come down. As a result, there will be no services to Seaton for a considerabe amount of time :(

This morning, Radio 4 were saying that there's a 2" wide crack running along the whole length of the bridge. Doesn't take a genius to see it's got to go..

They were also saying it's not a case of "if" it collapses, but "when"

Breaking News (as they say on Sky). PVR at West Cumbria increasing by 16 on Wednesday this week, all 4 Jonckheeres are staying and being made ready for service, along with two 814's from Carlisle, 2 B10's from Morecambe, 3 Double Deckers and 5 more B10's from various sources as yet unknown. This is due to an extra 3 vehicles required to operate the re routed service 30 plus 13 vehicles to operate new school services from Seaton and Northside to various schools around Workington. It will be a sight in Seaton on wednesday morning with 7 vehicles departing all together

Hmmm...One assumes that the DDs will either be F regs from store at Lillyhall, or 16874/7...
B10M wise, I suspect 20918/994 will be called in, as well as 20858, 20802, 20451/2.

Basically anything to hand that is newer than K reg!

Where's the old Skerton Garage driver9000?

Most likely it was on a Dallam School run - taking a Trident away from regular routes which need them more!

"SKERTON" The finest Ribble garage in the Country
It is houses now. It on the left as you head into town before Skerton Bridge, opposite the bus gate which was built to lead into the garage. you can still see the old garage walls in situ

Thanks Gez

*slaps himself* How could I forget that...

So yeah, was probably back off up to Kendal on the motorway after a school run - the D6 gets in to the Bus Station at about 1620, so could well be from that.

Ah, but give it a while to get back to some form of normality, and you'll be glad of everything you've got....

True... it's just like 40028... everyone in west Cumbria will miss it when it's gone. The '51 solos are so so, but the P-Reg Varios are just plain awful! N-Reg 14 year-old 40028 just soldiers on!

Woo-Hoo! 100 posts!

Congrats on the milestone!

Exactly. When the Olympians were on the 555, I used to look at Lancaster's Tridents and MANs and wonder why Kendal couldn't have some. Now I'd rather have the Olys back!
