42025 has turned up from Carlisle Seasonal Reserve to help out at Lillyhall. it was full of drivers when i saw it.

Was that when it flew through Flimby, at which time i was Boring you to death on the train! lol
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
22597 was on School Service in Maryport. other vehicles on the temporary school special services were 20764, 52629, another TransCumbria branded Jonckheere, and various B10M's of various ages.
52626 was flying around earlier in the afternoon. i didn't see what it was running though.

Methinks the other Klonkey was 52628... it went past focus about 2:45 today while i was skiving out the front!

I have had a message to say that Princess of Kendal will cease trading tomorrow and that Shaws will take over the town services in Kendal & Windermere on a short term basis. Is this true?

It is very sad news indeed that Princess of Kendal is to cease trading.

Due to the problems with Preston Bus, Stagecoach are unable or unwilling to take-over the Kendal & Windermere town services from Princess.

Traveller Choice, have agreed to operate both the Kendal & Windermere town services, as from Monday until the end of the year.

Gosh, I'm so sorry KendalKing. This must be very hard for you....

Stagecoach will be unwilling to step in, as I suppose in some bizarre way it may affect their chances of a sucessful appeal.

Travellers Choice really are on the up and up...they seem to be gaining contracts everywhere!

The Princess fleet will be returned to the leasers/sold I think.

Of course, if Travellers really want the vehicles and offer enough for them, I'm sure they won't be refused.

Very sorry to hear about Princess :( Will Travellers just take over the fleet?

The Princess fleet will be returned to the leasers/sold I think.

Of course, if Travellers really want the vehicles and offer enough for them, I'm sure they won't be refused.

The Primo, will be returned to Dawson Rentals.
The Solo, will be returned to Mistral Rentals.
The other vehicles are likely, to be repossess by the finance company.

More likely that they are unable to do it for the price asked.

Indeed I suppose KL isn't reality a high profit area either but I don't know.

Will the withdrawal of our Leyland's be put back seeing as any spare deckers heading for us may end up in Cumbria as extra support?

There's a few non LL buses running around West Cumbria at the mo, including a very shabby looking K reg B10M with full 6/6A Barrow - Ulverston branding, 2 Carlisle based Merc Vario's (one S and one T reg) a Preston based Volvo Olympian, a Morecambe(?) based N/C bodied Olympian, plus all four ex X4/X5 Jonckheere's have resurfaced! There's a few more things that I haven't seen and some that haven't arrived yet aswel.

the N/C bodied Olympian has Stagecoach in Cumbria stickers on it after being repainted at Carlisle. its 16874. the stairs to upper deck are pretty much in the middle of the bus. its apparently going to Carlisle to replace 13297.

that Tesco Free Bus timetable is pretty dodgey! people travelling the full 55 minute journey (thats without increased traffic at peak times!) better hadn't purchase any frozen products! they'd be defrosted by the time they got them home!

i saw 3 drivers today who aren't Lillyhall drivers. there was 2 youngish men, and a youngish woman.

As stated in a post above yours, i said they were from Chorley, two of which haven't been around for a while, if the girl had long dark hair in a pony tail, and one of the blokes has a beard, its thm, the other bloke would be one whose been in Chorley for a few weeks but also likes to travel around, short guy, bald head, loves Liverpool..

Anyway, give them my love :P

I think my sat-nav is broken. Every time I try and enter Liverpool, it says "Not in Europe"

sounds about right! the one with the beard must have got the short straw yesterday, having 52629 (horrible Jonckheere coach, although 52629 was the better one) on the new special school services! the other 2 were both wandering around Workington Bus Station when i saw them.
