34079 ends up in Workington a lot anyways. usually covering a missing Marshall, although, Solo's have been doing that recently, with B10M's / 34616 / 56 reg Darts appearing on Moorclose Circulars freeing up the solo's.
i've had 34079 on the Cockermouth - Workington X5 via Broughton Moor & Seaton. it was pretty good on the flat level stuff, but as soon as it came face to face with a hill, it couldnt manage.

Moorclose sometimes does need bigger buses... many a time i have seen a solo looking like a sardine tin at peak times! the darts are ideally suited really IMHO!

For the first time in a very long time buses are running in Lancaster on Boxing Day December 26th albeit not many a 30minute service is being provided on the 2A between Combermere Rd and the University 0947 and every 30 minutes until 1547 off Combermere with the 1617 running to LBS only From the University 1018 an devery 30 minutes until 1548, 1618 runs to The Battery and the 1648 to Torrisholme Sq.
Sunday 27th and Monday 28th is a Sunday Service Tuesday to Thursday a Saturday service early run off on the Thursday. No X1s from December 23rd until January 4th

I can't ever remember buses running on Boxing Day!, But i have said for the last couple years, that with the shops being open on Boxing Day, that there should be a limited Sunday service.

Boxing day service very impressive.

As for 16877 I believe its getting an MOT this week. But its either gona stay or run off somewhere else and seeing as 16874 hasn't turned up yet (I don't think) it may be that 16877 sneaks out and joins it somewhere else.

Took me an hour and a half to get from Heysham Towers to Uni this morning on 17019 closely followed by 18326 most of the way.

Also noticed this morning that 17019 has a lock on its cab door. It looked new and seeing as I've never spotted it before I assume they are been fitted for extra security after 22809 was stolen.

The East bound side of the underpass is now open again so services don't have to dash round campus anymore!

Was sure they was putting it through its MoT at Chorley when it was there, maybe they didn't bother seeing as they wernt keeping it..

they're very nice haha. 53336 went past me on its way back to the depot around 4-ish this afternoon. it sounded great and had no problems on the hill! (going up High Street).
the wheelchair lift is bloody annoying though! i feel sorry for the drivers who have to load and unload a wheelchair passenger!

I've no idea how many wheelchair users actually use regular buses, but in my experience of the 555, a rather busy route, it must be said, the number is very small.

paint shop prep bays were closed. 14268 (K128 DAO) fully repainted in the spray shop. it was being wiped over with a cloth when i was there.

this morning, i saw an Enviro300 on 31 with no scrolling on rear display. all others i've saw have still had their scrolling on rear. not sure why the one i saw didnt have scrolling.
