20463 on the evening 2a at about 8.15 near the infirmary which is a very rare working.

I would assume that the CCTV/refresh program is ongoing and it will be the same with the older Tridents. Lancaster's 2005 Tridents have had CCTV for a while now and as mentioned above most of the screen don't work as I noticed the other day. KL's Tridents haven't had screens in the cabin for as long as Lancaster's I don't think.

18363 looks great nice shots Gez. May even have to pass by the launch on Saturday.

Think thats about it, not much going on in Lancaster at the mo :(

Also hows the training going Paul?

So whats the hells going on with the X35?

Stagecoach has thrown the contact in for this service, following a disagreement with Cumbria County Council over payments.

Every time a non-low floor bus is used on a route for which the contact specify the use of low floor buses, the operator is penalised. As the X35 requires four buses, for which there are only three low floor buses available. So the fourth bus as to be a non-low floor one.

As it as already been said on this forum, Stagecoach have lately been having a lot of problems with differentials and rear axles on the Tridents. Which have led to the ex Lakes Links Olympians being used on the X35's.

Having spoken to other operators in the area, it appears that nobody as yet been invited to tender for the X35.

They need to get it sorted out because there isn't a direct rail link between Barrow and Kendal which people, especially commuters, could use as a substitute.

I could not agree with you more.

Sorry, Dave i just going by what i am being told.

As Pickles says, they need to get it sorted. I know people who live in Barrow & Ulverston that use the X35 to get to work at Haverwaite Railway.

There are two operators that have said that if it is not sorted, then they will consider running a similar service.

Good to hear.

Noticed today that 20546 has got retrimmed seats - no doubt from when it was away. The 1620 555 was nearly 30mins late, getting underway from Lancaster just before 1650.

I expect that if Lillyhall is to get another E300 then yet another B10M will be going :(
You would honestly think that rather than selling these buses with so much life left in them, they'd be moved elsewhere (eg. to replace Newcastle's F reg Scania/PS)

20546 has had retrimmed seats for 2yrs and the back end was repaired at morecambe.

Not bad considering it's position Gez...you should take more pictures. I bet in a few months/years you'll wish you had!

Helps to remember to put the camera in my pocket for a start, wish I had today a very nice three leg Setra of Galloways, Appleby Scania and a Van Hool in new Shearing blue all passed through the bus station today

Versa will have been running empty to Morecambe bus station to take up the0845 6 .
Must have missed todays rare working 47001 on the 0730 ex Moreacambe 6A then back onto the 0840 Knott End threw its belts on Tuesday and we gave them 47021

Had to catch the 555 to Milnthorpe yesterday and it arrived 20 minutes early pulling in at around 11AM. I had 18360 and it did not sound healthy with very bad vibration at the back.

Apparently Merseyside are getting some Volvo Olympians from Cheltenham. This may have already been mentioned.

Northern Counties bodied, some of them same batch as our 16447!
apparently due to an increase in passengers on some services, so a higher capacity vehicle is needed, meaning more buses coming out of Merseyside once all the new buses are delivered and in service!

Merseyside don't have any deckers at all at the minute. the last ones they had were Magic Bus, but their Magic Bus operations moved onto B10M.
it'll be interesting to see what happens with all the stuff coming out of Merseyside! looks like there'll be around 40 buses coming out now!

Oh right sorry I know very little about Merseyside's fleet. Well 40 is a big number but we shall see, anything could happen :D

I think he was drunk when he stole the two deckers up in Barrow lol. I wonder why he chooses buses haha.

I just missed all the Ripley School services today but saw the rear end of 14195 and two revamped Volvo Olys as well as a B10. I assume they were all on schools as they were clumped together heading into town.

Notices are now up in vehicles informing the passengers of the fair hike and the change to the X1 service.

Also today I've had two drivers who didn't have enough change which made me think about the time a man got on a bus I was on and gave the driver a change ticket for £15 lol.

I forgot to mention the other day that I spotted a solo on the 42 service to Blackpool in the evening at about 7PM. This is the first time I've seen anything so small on that service.

Both 1856 and 2030 42 departures form Lancaster are now booked for Solos

Quick note on a couple of fleet moverments in Chorley 16877 (1) (2) (3) has arrived from Yorkshire, but may not see use in Chorley due to the fact its a little higher than our standard fleet at 14"2', also apparently here on loan for a month is 20750

I wonder if 16877 is heading over to Miseryside then? As we've heard, they're currently amassing NC Palatines....

Gez - Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Birkenhead's increased requirement dealt with by the arrival of the aforementioned NC Palatines and the E300s?

I believe all of these deckers are coming to Birkenhead for a new operation and new depot. I think Stagecoach have won some tendered work on behalf of Merseytravel

Due to the heavy delays, being experience by the road works, all Town services are now departing from the Bus Station, NOT the Westmorland Centre until further notice. This as improved time keeping.

Both Stagecoach & Princess, have received a number of complains about buses going the wrong way (diversions, due to road closure), running late, or failing to operate.

On Monday, buses were missing left, right, & centre. Today only one or two buses missed. I myself missed one run out, on Monday it was three.

There are further road works / road closures planned to take place, while Lound Road is still closed. So further misey can be expected.
