update from the usual source.
LL will get 2 solo's, not 4 that was planned (47016/7?). These will arrive sometime this month.
back on the case of Maryport services, 40028 is now thought to run the 56. Plaxton Beaver bodied Vario's to run 57 / 57A and 58 where possible (other vehicles to be mainly used on these routes will be the few remaining 709d's).

its now easter, timetable changes supposed to be made to Keswick - Seatoller, but no information has been released on these changes. so a popular service on the OT deckers will be operated hourly, rather than half hourly, over the easter period by the looks of things!!!

Also I saw a Routemaster near Crooklands near Kendal the other day with 73 to Stratford on the blinds. 20463 on the 4 today and an Oly on the 2

Had 17020 on the 2 today and it dosen't have CCTV!!! Or a new floor. Kind of a halfed arsed job to be fair lol.

Half finished job more likely, Gez basically confied that Lancaser is short of low-floor vehicles so those that are available can't be taken off the road.

Another key word in the message from Gez was the phrase "theoretically B6 replacements"

KendalKing, do you know how serious 17012s fire was? Were the fire brigade in attendance? I suspect it may have been caused by a build up of oil and grease from the work on it, if so I think it could be OK.
I suppose if it really can't be fixed and is withdrawn, 16393 will be stopped having it's new roof put on and become OT.

The first I knew about it, was when I received a text which was sent at 16.16, later on I heard it mention on Lakeland Radio.

From what I could see, when it passed through Carnforth about 18.00ish. It would appear that the fire had spead from the engine compartment into the lower saloon.

I do not wish to pre-judge the outcome of the inquiry. We will all have wait to see what happens.

20764 was running Moorclose Circular 51 today. destination board was stuck onto the dashboard, and it had "BNG Contract" on its bright tech.
32917, 33168 and 40001 were on Harrington & Seaton.
20752 was on 31.
35248 is currently on annexe, after "Workington 30".

everything, as far as i could see, in Carlisle was running as usual.

i'd ignore the dates on it. on the same photostream, there is a picture of 33169 with todays date on it (its the next picture in the SCNW set he has), but 33169 is in LL workshops in the middle of bodywork repairs (re-panneling, then its off to Carlisle for a repaint before going into service at Lillyhall).

flickr shows the date the photo was uploaded, which isn't necessarily the date it was taken. So pickles, you could well have seen WLK in Barrow.

Just spoken to Gez re 17012, he says it WILL be coming back.
Apparently it was on a test run when it put a leg out of bed (ie. a piston came flying off the crankshaft) which caused some small fires to start in the wiring.
A reconditioned engine is on its way from Cummins and will be fitted ASAP and the back end repainted. It only smells of burning slightly at the back of the lower deck I'm told, no doubt this will ahve gone by the time it's back on the road.

On the subject of OTs, he says 11091 appeared at Morecambe yesterday, presumably this is waiting for Mike Nash to pick it up as all the Cumbria depots are full with the summer season buses.

Currently, Morecambe is also holding 34079 (the ALX 200 Dart), 47016/7 (which we know about) and 47060. I've no idea about where the Dart will end up, nor 47060.

47018/9/20 should be in service in Barrow tomorrow with all fleetwood branding removed apparently. 47016/7 apparently heading up to Lillyhall soon, but we'll see.

quite a bit of work for stagecoach to do now lol. 17012 needs its new engine, 17014 needs OT conversion finished, work has began on 47617 after its RTA last week, 33169 is in workshops for re-pannelling and paint, 16393 is still getting its new roof fitted, 16329 needs its roof off, along with 14853 of which needs part of the front part of roof rebuilt, then theres still the ex PB buses to be painted into corporate livery (lolyne's, solo's, esteems, and the other omnidecker if it hasnt been done already. the old oly's are apparently remaining in PB livery for the time being, as they should be being replaced with buses already in corporate livery). some other work on the buses will probably arise as well (33167/8/9 need interior refurbs! they're pretty scruffy!)

a new timetable should be in place, but i havnt seen anything yet, but one of them were spotted in service!!!
Richie B has a picture on his flickr photostream of Keswick Bus Station showing one of the titan's on layover from 78, i think this is 10728.

Easter weekend brings the usual provision of a Sunday service on Good Friday and Easter Monday, with enhanced services on Carlisle routes 60/60A/61/61A/62/67/68/76/79/179.

Service X8 Chorley/Preston-The Lakes starts from 11 April, no doubt with B10M-62s.

The Titan in the Flickr link is a Y reg so will be 10728.

14204 was on a 40 heading for Preston on the A6 around 14:30.
Prestons X2 had a mix of Enviro400s and the new Scania deckers.

Gosh, a lot of movements this month!

Surprised 13297 is in Carlisle, AFAIAA, both went to Preston and have returent to LL. I'm also surprised that Gillmoss are holding onto 32915 - I'd have thought they'd want to get it to LL.

Although 20451 has consistently been listed as Reserve for about 2 months, it is actually in service at Morecambe.

I would have thought the Lynxs would go straight on the disposals list, but evidently not. I've heard rumour that they may get exported to Malta.

Not much else I can say about the card, I just can't cope with it in that form!

Passed by the Morecambe depot today. 17012 looks better then I thought just black burn marks all over its rear. The old Titan OT was parked next to it. One of the Trident 2's was in the garage along with a B10M but I assume that's just for touch ups.

Didn't spot any of the new arrivals but I assume they were round the other side.

47023 was on Mirehouse Circular 3. with 47616 on Mirehouse Circular 4.
20768 and 20757 on 600.
i went to Whitehaven on 16651 this morning.
i had 22595 coming back from Whitehaven to Salterbeck.
i had 40028 coming back from Salterbeck.
33167, 40028 and 40033 were on Harrington & Seaton.
40013 on Moorclose 50. i didnt see what was on the 51.
RBZ 5459 (52268 i think) and P562 PNE (42562?) were both on Staff Stuttle this morning, both coming from Whitehaven direction with approx 1 minute between them!
20904 passed me on its way to Workington Bus Station at 1755 running Whitehaven 300. it was approx 25 mins behind timetable, and its usually one of LL's oly's running this, so i'd guess that an oly maybe failed at / near Carlisle, as its extremely odd for a Carlisle vehicle to run this route!!!

I think the Titain is 11091? If so it's waiting for Mike Nash to collect it, as the latest fleetcard proves.
