Are Lancaster hard up for low floor buses at the moment? one of the 04 reg Solos was having a turn on the 3 around 12:00 passing the Infirmary heading for the University.

As an update to my post yesterday, its actually Stagecoach Oxford 34006 sitting in the yard at Blackburn missing its front offside.

No idea, but I think so! A Solo had a turn on the 2A Overton at 155x lat night, bearing in mind that this is normally a Trident full and standing, it didn't go down too well.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the resulting chaos as I was finishing my Technology project A friend from LGGS was telling me all about it tonight

There are currently 8 04 reg'd Solo's at Preston Nos 47055-47062, and 3 at Morecambe Nos 47247-47249.

Also the preposed service cuts in the South Lakes area have been delayed

As I was driving a Stagecoach In The Fens service 45 to Cambridge yesterday along the A14, I passed the former 15376 which was heading west. Any idea who owns it now?

Yes I saw the Solo on the 2A yesterday it would have formed the 15:31 from the University which I think is an Overton journey - I had a little smile to myself at the impending full load from throughout the trip

Well 20452 was the 3 this afternoon and a Vol Oly on the 2a. One of the old J regs Leylands was on the 42. I rarely see these about apart from when they do schools but its not that rare for them to be doing a Preston or Blackpool route. MBonwick do you ware a black coat with a scarf?

One of the W*** WNO Dennis Darts is in the LL workshops, Kendal's I assume? Probably for MOT.

This can't be a one of Kendal's, as all four W*** DNO's were in use on Town Services today.

It was rumoured that some of Town services, were to have they frequency reduced. Also that the evening out of town services were to be axed, due to a shortfall in funding from central goverment, for subsidized services.

I can only presume, that funding as been found from somewhere.

Can confirm about 20452 and the 2A. However I disagree about the Leylands, 14208 was on the 1610 55A and I saw a glimpse of 204, but no idea what service it was on.

FWIW, the Lynxs went back to Preston for the removal of ETS and live info bases. That's basically the stuff that displays when the next bus is due, where it is, how long it will be, etc etc on an LED display at the bus stop.

I would have thought that it would have been removed before the Lynxs went to Morecambe, but...

One of the 08 plate solo's is off the road for a while due to an RTA. :roll:

Mirehouse seems a bad route for RTA's lol. was only september / october when 47617 was off the road, sending a 51 reg onto Mirehouse, which i found a little funny 'cos they only had "50 MOORCLOSE" "51 MOORCLOSE CIRCULAR" "SORRY NOT IN SERVICE" and "TOWN SERVICE" programmed into the display haha, so they had "TOWN SERVICE" with a board in window for whichever circular it was (i think it was 4). 32917 was a pooular vehicle on Moorclose Circular for those few weeks! i wonder what will happen this time lol, especially seen as Harrington & Seaton are advertised low floor from Sunday.

they should send a dart to Mirehouse really. then run 2 709d's on Harrington & Seaton until 33169 is ready, then it would keep Moorclose low floor. That way, the low floor advertisement would work, 'cos IIRC, it says something like "if a low floor vehicle is unavailable we will try our best to make sure the next one is low floor". that wouldnt work on the circular's, cos its one in each direction.
i can imagine 51 reg solo to Mirehouse though, as you said, then marshall dart on Moorclose.

would be ideal if the other solo's were here by next week, but i'd say its a big if lol. they're apparently going to be on the May Fleetlist as Lillyhall, but we'll see soon enough, and we'll also see which ones are coming. at least 2 are guaranteed to come, for the 1. i wouldnt like to try getting a solo around Kells lol. too many places for cars to just pull out in front of you!

i'm struggling to imagine a solo on Kells haha. isnt the best place to take a bus.
it shouldn't be too bad on the Lowca side. as i said in a post a while ago, John Hoban used to take his radia's / cheetah's or whatever down most of the route on the contract he used to have at St Benedicts (now ran by 3D on their blue vario).
we'll see what happens with allocations tomorrow, and just hope that something arrives in the next week or so!

Before the days of Minibuses (not all that long ago) full size Leyland Nationals ran the 01 Kells and 02 Woodhouse services. I suppose there might have been a few less cars around the estates then!!!!

20795 must be in line for CCTV, it has stickers advising that CCTV is fitted, but no cameras.

I beleive that Fleetwood, now as allocation of 9 Versa's, 3 Solo's & 2 Olympian's.

Correct Fleetwood is officially is an outstation, of Preston Frenchwood. But does have its own allocation.

32917 was on Harrington & Seaton this morning, and is currently on Moorclose Circular 50.
there is also a 709d on Harrington & Seaton that i didnt see the identity of.
20737 ran Seaton 47 this morning, with its LED display not in use, and a destination board in windscreen.
47024 is on Moorclose Circular 50.
25225, 35249 and 20768 join 3 MAN Enviro 300's on the 31.
20757 was on X4 this morning.

Open-top Trident 17012 as been withdrawn, following an Engine fire, early today in Windermere. It just been towed into Morecambe.

Gez signed 47004 into Morecambe's fleet this morning; 003 should follow tomorrow. He says these are B6 replacements.

47016/7 are also residing at morecambe, before onward movement.
