I wasnt having a stab at the condition of the Stagecoach deckers, more so the older coaches of independents that operate schools services, I wouldnt put newer deckers on either but it gives regular work to buses that would be disposed of normally.

I travel to 6th form on Robert Benson, and there have been several incidents of vandalism. Last summer some idiot decided to slash the back of 4 of the seats on Benson's Neoplan transliner!

Rosies Travel have some real wrecks, none of them look even mildly decent! I see their 709 most mornings running empty up High St towards Whitehaven.

they have 4 wrecks haha. the M reg 709d, the 609d with rear wheelchair lift (also M reg), the G reg wreck of a 711d they got off Ratcliffe Buses, and the Plaxton Beaver on ageless plates (IEZ ????) with wheelchair lift and roller blind destination (only the route number is displayed, as they don't have the destination names on it!).

B12 CWR and B15 CWR are clearly the best 709d's in West Cumbria! i wish Chris would get the other 4 done up the same!

nothing has happened like that on my Pickthall coach haha (you know which one i have haha, i constantly rant about the gearbox on it to you haha).

when i was on stagecoach end of last year (easter 2008 to summer 2008 ), the main problem on the buses we used was litter, but even then, it was only really the B10m that was a victim of it! the prem coaches were always kept tidy!

I hope he gets the rest of them sorted out! I wish he would put something different on the keswick run, sick of seeing USU 641.
They do look good, but they still sound really bad!

as rosswatson said, they sound bad, and probbably bad to drive, but they do look really nice. they look awesome with their LED's! i like the rear cluster lights on them! unlike stagecoach where they actually are a cluster, they're all individual circles, and it looks really smart!

There should be an age limit and low floor requirement for all tendered services, I think Stagecoach might win more and get back services they used to operate

have to be low floor by 2017. havnt heard anything about age limits, but someone else will be able to tell you better lol

The open-top Trident in green livery, might of been 17013 which was seen driving around Kendal in the afternoon.

Yeah, it all just comes down to cash, The county council likely dont care how big a heap is on the road as long as the bid for the tender is the lowest!!!! There should be a 10 year age limit at least on services, 15 years on schools. That would get some crap off the road eh?

Ok maybe ten years is a bit harsh lol, 15 years for council services, 3 Olys at LL will be 19 this year, Barrows will be 21, wonder if they had a party!!!

PS. just got Manchesters latest movements, R reg Varios up for disposal and we still have N reg minis, Also some P&R reg Olys heading to Stagecoach South, more new Enviros too

Passed the outstation at Penrith the other night, Two Olys, 4 B10s and a vario.
J120AAO,K128DAO,K738DAO,M236TBV,P533PNE and two R***XVM B10s

Yeah they let PCK355 reg go on a J reg Expressliner a few years ago, a number with history to Ribble, I was disappointed when they let it go

VRR 447 was on a Coachline Van Hool. it got transferred onto an old Plaxton Paramount (there is a picture of it somewhere, think its on Fotopic), and it then got transferred onto what we know as VRR 447

just came home early from sixth form on 22611, and vibration at back is pretty bad on it!!!
20129 was on "SCHOOL [Graphic] SPECIAL" this morning, heading towards Workington Train Station from Workington Bus Station.
40394 was in bus station this morning with "BNG Contract" on display.
52629 on X4, and a fitter was seeing to the emergency door on it! he had a can of WD40 in his hand.
47023 is on Moorclose Circular 51, and 33168 is on Moorclose Circular 50 (it looked like rear display has been uncovered).
47616 on Mirehouse Circular 3.
20757 was sitting on Tangier Street in Whitehaven with "SORRY NOT IN SERVICE" on display.
20195 went into Whitehaven "Sorry Not In Service".
20761 and 20765 were sitting on Workington Bus Station annexe when i got home.

They are currently 6 open-toppers in Kendal depot, including open-top Titan 11081 (B81 WUV), which as previously been reported as sold, Olympian 16294 (R294 HCD), & Tridents 17012/3/5/6 (S812 BWC etc).

Does S665 SDT, the Jonckheere Mistral, get not used on the X4/X5? Seems strange to have a good coach and not put it to use, especially if, as you keep saying, the Modulos are unreliable.

since it stopped seeing service in Barrow, it has never been on service. it got painted a while ago at Carlisle, and has sat in Lillyhall since. i've been told it will sit there gathering dust until day trips start, where it will take over work previously done by RBZ 5459, which will replace work done by VRR 447 apparently. i havnt heard what is happening to VRR 447. someone else on here will probably know better :-P
