noticed that the marshall darts have had stickers applied to them for Workington Day Rider and Mega Rider.
33168 was on 50, and 47024 on 51.
one of 56 reg darts off service today (either 35248 or 35249, not sure which).

hopefully it will be coach style E400's for X5!
double decker coaches would be nice, but it would depend if they'd manage the route

20452 still has no screen. I'm sure the reason it hasn't been replaced yet is because Lancaster is now short of single deckers with 20793/4 going to Chorely.

Also, 47157 was taken off the 1620 Halton 49 service with a UID problem.

I should imagine you would be perfectly happy with either E400s or some Volvo B9r Plaxton Profiles such as they have in certain parts of Scotland. Or is the capacity of a single deck coach too small?

single deck coach too small. X4 and X5 currently ran by 51 seat S reg Jonckheere Modulo's, which are pretty run down and not nice to be on. often gets full capacity, and steps are steep, which is a problem, as a lot of the passengers these days are older. usually end up with a B10m on them at times, due to unreliability of the Jonckheere's.

there was a 15 metre long Plaxton Panther (69 seats i think) here in 2007 for route testing, but it was too long for the routes.


oh, forgot about odd allocation! 40025 was on 30 Workington!!! boards in window as display not working. 40028's display has been fixed!

As I mentioned earlier 47023 is undergoing a refurb, i'm now told that 47024, 33167 and 33168 are to get the same, the marshall's also getting hanover displays.

guessing they'll be fitted with front display only.
they should get side and rear LED displays! they'd look smarter!!!

found it odd that 40025 has been running 30 Workington. it was usually always a B10m.

havnt heard anything of 32917 recently!!! and it hasnt been on its usual Seaton service in a morning! B10m's have been running it!

Disposal or Preston for that pile of scrap. Sale I'd guess. I bet 32925 will come back not long after the Timetables down there change and there are a few Esteems spart.

33169 will also come back.

32917 needs to disappear! never been on it, but i hate it haha. used to laugh at it rock into the bus station in a morning haha, then laugh at the loudness when it left!
its 33167 with side display. one of only 2 buses at lillyhall with working side bright tech!
would be nice if they removed the side display boxes when LEDs get fitted! they all need removed really, looks a little stupid! luckilly 20768 doesnt have its side display box anymore

would be nice! would be good if one came to run "Greenbank 2", then the 4 56reg darts went on 31 / 31A, and move 25225 to Morecambe!

so many things could be done if any Esteems got sent up here, but chances are they'll just be dreams
wouldnt suprise me if they replaced the 2 B6's in service at Morecambe depot.
we need solo's up here! then whitehaven town services will be fully low floor. workington would be low floor without 48 when the other marshall dart arrives

No way will the Esteems move from Preson, and if they do it will be to a region where there are already Esteems, to aid maintainence etc.

You're right about Solos from Preston, although they may go to Barrow?

i noticed about the 08 reg solo's too. its since both marshall's entered service.

barrow already has loads of solo's lol. i think they have 16 of them, not sure on that though, but they do have a lot! LL's needs are greater haha

Yorkshire traction have Esteems. Coincidentally, they also ahve 2 non-standard B7TLs there, which are standard in Fife.

just have to see what happens. they sent a versa up here on its own, the only other optares in cumbria being Barrow's solo's, so anything could happen really!

similar story here with 709d's. they're all wrecks, really loud and rattly, pretty bad ride. they're in full time commercial service as well. similarly, 709d's appear on town routes when a solo / marshall dart is off service for whatever reason. had to laugh at a 709d the other week trying to get up the hill into Bransty haha, was almost stationary at one point! couldnt handle the hill at all! i think it was 40394.
SCNW badly needs a big investment! get the remaining 22 709d's out of service!!! (3 should be going once all low floor mini's sorted out at Lillyhall).

noticed a lot of the former PrestonBus fleet is still carrying the old PB numbers, are they to be renumbered on repainting? Any ideas on what the changes will be come 22 March apart from the removal of the vaults?

40445 was on 46 / 46A / 47 services this morning, boards in windscreen as display not working, which was then replaced by 33168.
20761 was on Moorclose Circular 51.
47024 was on Moorclose Circular 50 but later went onto Seaton 47.
40033 came off 46 / 46A / 47 to go on Moorclose Circular 50.
25225 was on 30, shoving another E300 onto 31.
20765 on Jonckheere replacement on X4.
20757 running Seaton 47 morning service.

H and K reg oly's returned to school work, after N and R reg's been running them.

driver9000, yes the ex-Preston Bus vehicles are being renumbered on repainting.

22806 and 22814 have had refurbs and repaints.
