lillyhall needing 6 double deckers, Stagecoach Manchester offering 6 to a stagecoach area.
plus, SCNW's deckers seem to always come from Manchester these days, and they aren't getting rid of any ALX400's.
if lillyhall does get those 6 E400's, downside is they have 75 max seated replacing 87 seated vehicles.

its a shame 52196 is leaving service as i've said in previous posts, i really liked it lol. more comfortable than anything else currently at lillyhall! (even E300's and versa!)

Chorley and Preston are Supposedly Both Due Scania E400's (This Year Presumabley After April) The Chorley Ones would Displace the 125/6 Branded ALX 400's > Preston and The Preston Ones are Supposedly for the X2.

this ISN'T definate, but it looks like Lillyhall will be getting 6 double deckers from Stagecoach Manchester in April 2009. it isnt known what, if anything, will be transferring, but it will be decided closer to the date if they are definately moving. they are expected to be transferred after the arrival of new E400's in Manchester.

I've updated the refurb list to include 20761 (LL), 22807, 30277 (why did they retrimm a B6, why oh why?!) and 16662 (ME)


I have unconfirmed reports that the NW is up for rather a lot of funding this financial year - we'll have to wait and see. Also that there's now 3 B6's in Lancaster, I think the latest is 30286 but I couldn't be sure, I only caught a glimpse this morning.

off topic, but J B Pickthall's Leyland National (WHH 556S, built at Lillyhall) is now off the road!!! broke down yesterday (tuesday 27th January 2009). their new alexander had to be quickly prepared for service (seats put in, as they had all been removed for retrim) so normal services could be carried out (school run around Whitehaven). the national could be fixed, but uncertain whether or not it will be yet

The latest B6 arrival will be from Fleetwood - should have an LED destination screen if its the one Im thinking of.

22821 was sat at RLI bus stop heading out of Lancaster this afternoon, hazard lights on and driver on the phone - Im guessing it disgraced itself by breaking down!

Preston Bus legal lettering reads "Preston Bus ltd 221 Deepdale Rd, Preston PR1" in Stagecoach font. Is this because the sale isnt finalised yet or is it something to do with the tax year coming to an end? No national numbers have appeared so far as I can tell.

shame the marshall darts didnt get new displays they need to sort something out with T607JBA. the marshalls are supposed to go into service on monday along with the revised fare's, which aren't as bad as i expected!

Battersby's K20 BSG, the 70 seat school bus looked to ahve had a bit of a knock this afternoon - the front nearside wheelarch was twisted and there were several dented panels.

Preston Bus 47754 [54] is being repainted at Deepdale Road
Preston Bus 28513 [203] is being painted at Gillmoss.
It will be interesting to see if they come back with their national numbers allocated

To cover, Solo 47018 & Olympian 16327 are operating out of Deepdale Road

refurbishment could be a retrim, thats what a few lillyhall vehicles have had lol. some vehicles did get LED's but not all

oh, K768 DAO, in response to your question to me, i heard 2 men talking about them in Carlisle a few week ago. not sure if they are drivers or not, they weren't wearing a uniform, but they said they were due to enter service at the start of february, which is when the revised fares come into operation.
hopefully they do go in service next week, but i can't see them putting 2 in service, leaving a 709d on 46/46A/47 whilst waiting for something else lol.

not stagecoach, but J B Pickthalls Leyland National which broke down will not be getting fixed in the near future to quote my mate (pickthalls son), "the national is just going to be abandoned until a quiet day (like theres ever any of those!!!)"

they need to get something sorted lol, the 709d's could fall apart at any minute haha. 40001 sounds like it will fall apart with the force of doors opening!
hopefully the only 709d's in west cumbria when i'm a bus driver will be 3D's!
i'm really liking solo's at the minute haha. was disappointed that i was on one of the mirehouse ones on moorclose, but nothing can be done about that other than the allocator putting them on the routes they were purchased for!

awesome! for some reason, i feel safer on buses with CCTV, most other people find them annoying haha. i like the bell on solo's for some reason haha, same as versa. passengers hear traditional bell, but driver gets the supermarket tannoy bing bong, which can also be heard by passengers on both solo and versa (mostly on solo).
i was suprised to see 20904 on 300 before like. i think it was a carlisle driver too. i'm really suprised carlisle's R reg B10m's with Alexander PS bodies havnt had a retrim yet! still have the old grey trim, and the bright techs havnt been reprogrammed like some of lillyhall's (said "WHITEHAVEN 300" rather than "Whitehaven 300"). i noticed one of LL's 709d's have been updated to have destination in lower case! i think it was 40013, but not sure now.

it gets annoying when they do that! someone will press it, then someone else will press it, then another person, then another!
i'd have thought that CCTV would stop grafitti, but it didnt 56 reg darts still have burn marks on back of seats near the back. i suppose the CCTV will make it easier to catch people like. just like on the versa, last time i was on it a few week ago, there were empty cans of Strongbow squashed between seats and on the floor!
R reg oly's seem to be getting a bit of damage on back of seats! burn marks and grafitti scratched in! there was something about Mirehouse scratched into the back of a seat on R251NBV! can't remember what it said now haha.

Can't think of anything unusual today - but I notice some MANs are keeping their seats with grey grab handles (like fitted to the new trident seats, but grey) and some are getting orange ones.

forgot to mention before, i seen my favourite stagecoach driver today haha. he was driving Frizington 31A on one of the 56reg darts at approx 1305, going up towards Sekers from Hensingham Square. he waved too but my hands were full so couldnt wave back

unfortunately it wasnt lol. i havnt seen richie around for a while!
it was andrew he drove sixth form contract a lot last year (mostly on RBZ / VRR). he is an awesome driver, and can have a good laugh with him :-P
on results day in summer, i was fortunate enough to have him on what was 31A Frizington (from maryport. now 31), and we were running slightly early, so had to stop for a while in Whitehaven, so he got out of the cab, kicked a few seats, tried to pull the handles off the ceiling for standing passengers, then stood and waved at the CCTV cameras

the darts seem to be pretty decent, much better than N465VOD which was rattling its way around moorclose this morning with its destination boards in windscreen haha.
hopefully T602JBA is coming to lillyhall! its needed! they've maybe decided to send that instead of T607JBA :-P its a shame they have bright techs though i'd guess the old destination boards will be sticking around a little longer haha.

There was an optare Solo on the 3 yesterday which was odd lol. Haven't seen that new B6 yet. Why has it come to Lancaster? was there a need for it? Also 21007 has had a new floor put in but no LED. Not sure if they plan to stick that in later along with a repaint.
