Has 16714 had a bridge strike or something then? Seems odd for it to be moving NE to NW.
Sad to see a chapter of history close with the sale of the Titans, unlike the 709Ds they will be missed.


Manchester do not have any 2005 reg Tridents. All their low floors are either W reg or older, or 2006 and newer. I would say the older tridents will be coming here, as they must surely be the first to get replaced.

VLT 255 is currently 16335 which is the exLakesLink, now Liverpool FC bus. I assume this will get re-registered back to N 335 NPN and move elsewhere (Barrow) along with the rest of the 1633x lot as they are X2 branded.

I also noticed today that Kendal's Tridents have had their Explorer ticket info hastily scrubbed of the rear solwbar.

I'm not saying they won't come from Manchester. What I'm saying is that Manchester has no 05/55 plate Tridents left..they've all been moved elsewhere. All that's left are some T and W reg ones in Stockport IIRC and 06s at Hyde and Princess Rd. garages.

just been informed by pickthall's son that stagecoach had a breakdown at sellafield! not sure which bus it was, but it was something to do with the battery apparently. he said that stagecoach fitters weren't allowed on the sellafield site, but for some reason pickthall got on fine!

14235 was either D6 or D2 but I wasn't on the bus that day so have no idea. Both D2 and D5 have been given deckers a lot recently so it could have been D2.

Does anyone know whats going on in Newcastle? Apparently they are getting rod of a load of Volvo Olys as they are been replaced. On Vol Oly has turned up in the NW but not sure where.

i've heard they're getting some new Enviro 400's, but i havnt looked into it yet.

not going to bother putting every bus i see on here anymore lol, just "out of place" ones.
before i get to that though, T606JBA (33168 ) was in service today!!!!!!!!! seen it myself running Harrington 46A at 1540ish.

L119HHV (32917) was running Moorclose Circular 51 this morning. 47023 on this afternoon.
N133YRM (40033) was running "Moorclose Circu 50" (as the display said!) this afternoon.
25225, 32547, 20764 and another B10m on 31's.
i didnt see what was running seaton 47 this morning, as i was late for my bus, which stopped to let me on near the bus station.

theres a lot of ex PB's to replace lol, but it wouldnt suprise me if they were kept for longer, as they seem to be used mostly for schools. i think the oly's at barrow are still in public service, but not totally sure on that one.

33168 was on 46 / 46A / 47 today.
i think both 51 reg solo's were on moorclose, but i later seen 47023 on Harrington 46 (1550ish).
25225, 35458 and 20757 on 31's.
40025 on layover from "85 SELLAFIELD", dead display, board in windscreen.
14233 and 14234 both on school work this morning.
16733 and 16655 both on school work this afternoon.
20752 on morning seaton service.

T606JBA (33138 ) has made its way onto Moorclose Circular 51, which has been ran by PO51WLR (47024) today. last i knew, PO51WLP (47023) was still on Harrington & Seaton services. no idea where PO51WLR has went to! really wouldnt suprise me if they put it onto Moorclose Circular 50 really!

Could have been a problem with the catalyist. Diesels dont have carburettors. If a diesel is smoking its generally passing unburnt fuel vapour through the engine.

nothing unusual here today really, unless you call a plaxton beaver on seaton / harrington odd lol. both Workington solo's on Moorclose Circular, so guessing both Whitehaven ones on Mirehouse Circular.

went past Lillyhall depot today and it was sad to see the open top titans just sitting in the dead lanes amongst B6's and 709d's (wasnt sad to see the B6's and 709d's there ), along with the line-up of routemasters
would be nice if a couple of the titans stayed to run special services or something lol

Went past the White Lund depot of Stagecoach today, about 3 OT Titans sat on the fence awaiting their fate as well as a few (what looked like) B6s and a Merc 814.

All the OT's at Lancaster rhave been sold of as has Lancaster's last Merc (41041 i think).

Was in Blackpool today and good god Metro bus is crap lol!!! They should be next for takeover haha.

Can't wait to see the new OT Tridents out and about gona look great!

Strangely enough, I was also in Blackpool today (among other places), on the RailUK Lancashire Jolly.

The Titan I saw had an Aquarium of the Lakes advert on the side...are these the sold ones or are they just being stored to take some strain off Lillyhall space wise?

you may get your answer soon Blackpool are rumoured to be Talking to Transdev.

Also i think you should understand that Blackpool has the problem of the sheer volumes of OAPS around there and how the Free Bus/Trams are paid for so thats the reason they cant improve there network as much as they want to.

They have Supposedly been in Negotiations with Arriva First Transdev and Sc. But Transdev are Close to Blackpool already through the sale of Blackburn Vehicles to Blackpool.

God I hope Stagecoach make a move. However with he purchase of Preston bus they may hold back. May be to big an investment.

I've heard good reports about Transdev. One thing though, if Transdev does buy Blackpool, the individual route liveries will go. I'm sure they'll adopt route branding, but with a single livery. Any suggestions? Mine would be Dublin Bus two tone green with a red band.

I know that this refers more to Stagecoach SE, but thought I'd dump it here anyway.

Just a quick one to say that the new GoldLine buses for the Blackwater Valley Rte 1 have been unveiled today, and they're much nicer than the old ones...Indeed, they're more like coaches then buses! hock:

Havn't time for details as I need to catch the 13:30 back to Farnborough for the unveiling event, but suffice to say that they're very nice and comfortable!

I do wonder though how long it'll be before the Old Dean lot decide to vandalise the things, though... ad:

would have been nice if Stagecoach did, but they'll be busy sorting out Preston Bus to do anything with Blackpool Transport.

from what i saw today, all services were running as normal at Lillyhall.
K757DAO (20757) and K759DAO (20759) on 301.
PX08FMU (47617) on 30.
N651VSS (40651) on BNG Contract.
N128YRM (40028 ) with totally unreadable display with piece of paper in windscreen with 46 on it (even though it was 46B service).

Problem with SC is they cover so many areas and so there's just not enough money to go round.

There is, just they prefer not to spend it. They cover a lot of areas and have profits to match. Remember, in 08/09 they spent £10million on new vehicles.
