The last 2 old Darts will be scrapped/sold on from reserve, and it would make sense to see 40660 and the 2 Varios leave as well.

40660 is used for Coronation Street, so i can't see that going. Maybe the Vario's will appear on Coronation Street at some point as well lol

The Varios are mainly used as Staff shuttles are rarely cover for non-availability of a Solo so could be disposed of relatively easily.

Yeah they'll be off no problem. Any news on this hole PB business? How likely is it that SC will have to give up Chorley?

Yes its been there since the open day. Been sold on for preservation I think although sorely that can't happen until the PB investigation is over.

I thought it was stored awaiting the outcome of the investigation, I know a buyer was interested in it for preservation though. Out of interest what engine type does it have TL11 or 6LXB?

20134, 20759 and 20765 on 31 with 3 enviro 300's.
35247 and 35248 on 31A.
35249 on 2.
20753 on 22.
20757 on evening 300.
20960 is also on 300!
16734 on 300.
14234, 14247 and 14258 on school work this morning.
47024 and 47060 on 1.
47023 on Moorclose Circular 50.
47061 on Moorclose Circular 51, still with dead rear display.
47617 on 3.
47616 on 4.
noticed that Mirehouse Circular's scrolling on side displays has been programmed differently to Moorclose Circulars! on Moorclose, its "Moorclose Circular, buy a Workington day rider for only £2.30", but Mirehouse has "Mirehouse Circular." then "Buy a Whitehaven day rider for only £2.20".
even though the side displays have the route number on, people have been going to look at the front display to see the route, cos they turn up when its advertising a day rider.

20759 has had its rear bench seat recently retrimmed. not sure on the side seat. the new style DP seats are still very faded and look like they'll rip at any point.

One of Battersby's yellow school buses broke down today just after the exit to Sainsburys car park in Lancaster. Managed to get it onto the pavement so didn't cause any traffic problems. Also ex PB 47759 was running the 89 this afternoon.

Very unlikely I would have thought! Chorley is part of the Ribble arm of SCNW, and has nothing to do with the Preston Bus business or the Ribble operations in Preston.

No it wouldn't affect Chorley, but while we are on the subject, after a grievance hearing into rotas, a re-write happened and now a service change re-write has been planned, as already mentioned on here, i wont bore you with the details as it has already been in the LEP, as my passengers have had great pleasure in asking me about...

on top of that the scheduled influx of 15xxx series buses has been postponed until Jan-Feb '10 whilst we await the success or otherwise of more tenders in the GMPTE area in September when a gauge of PVR can be assessed and buses allocated accordingly..

whilst I'm at it, papping the horn (and associated stuff as shown on the yellow signs on every door facing the driver) whilst reversing has been in place in Preston for a while, along with 'dipped headlights' when in bus stations in the LCC areas, First in Manchester brought in the 'dipped headlights at all time' rule a few years ago now and would probably have brought in reversing rules but for one thing... a bus in Manchester (Until the Trafford Centre opened) would never normally ever have to reverse as all bus stations in GMPTE have always been on a 'drive-in, drive-out' basis

Also, if your interested, i took this and this at Cowling recently, 47009 has since gone and 42092 has been used in various 'non service' things

20965/6 reported heading through Carlisle today....presumably they're going to CE then?

being seen in CE, they're either there for paint, or are joining the CE fleet, which, seeing as though Stagecoach are doing a bit of fleet standardisation, makes sense, as CE has 2 Paladin bodied B10Ms. CE also has a lot of Rxxx XVM B10M's in its fleet. i suppose we'll find out whats happening pretty soon!

20768 on 300 (low on DD's again)
42562 on Harrington & Seaton, along with 33168 (low on LF minis)
20764 on 48 i think (there was 4 people on it, and it fitted the 48 timetable).
52627 running around "Sorry Not In Service", so guessing a B10M out on X4 / X5.
no doubt there'll be B10Ms out on 30 / 31 / 31A.
47062 on Moorclose Circular 51.
47023 on Moorclose Circular 50.

21005 on the 3/4 this afternoon.
21003 on the 2
14196 on the 501.
14208 on the 935.
17021 on the 55a.

Everything else normal as far as I could see.

Those B10's are mean to be heading for the highlands but seeing as they are in CE and are shown as been in the NW fleet on current fleetlist it may be they stay in CE rather then moving up.

its all a bit of a mystery.
its perfectly possible that CE's Paladin bodied B10M's are being replaced, but there is also the possibility of the more knackered K reg B10Ms at LL being replaced, which K768 DAO has mentioned on here (personally, i hope 20734 goes, cos it doesnt ride as well as the others).
as usual though, it will probably be some last minute decision and something totally unexpected, which has happened a lot decently (34079 coming to LL to replace 32917 for a start!)

20965/6 will be staying in the NW. All the B10Ms for Highland have already arrived.

According to the latest Manchester fleetcard (on the SC website), 9 B10Ms are shown as transferring here...
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
The B10Ms on the list for NW ex-Manc are: 20907-9, 20918/9, 20923, 20949, 20962/6, 20984

Manchester P1 fleetlist (we're on 09/10 year now): http://www.stagecoachbus.com/uploads/FleetlistP10910.pdf

33165, 34213, 34217, & 47057 on Town services today, 20710 doing a couple of trips before going on the afternoon D3.
16339 on X35's.
166xx on the 755 service.
A very dirty 33166 was driven around Kendal by a fitter this afternoon.

33166 was probably being given proving runs to show that it's OK for transfer (it IS one of the short ones isn't it?)

Well hopefully those B10's will be staying at CE or any other depot in the NW that needs them.

Not sure about Manchester's reserves.

Yes, it is one of the short ones. I got a feeling that it has come out of storage, and is to be reinstated at Kendal. As i have been told that the Solo's proving to be unreliable

Which might explain why i have not seen 47055 & 47056 for over a week, 47009 was parked up in the corner of the yard on Sunday. Still not seen 47058, which is also due at Kendal.

47055 (and possibly 47056) has been at Lillyhall, probably for MOT or something (they were bought in May 2004, so its around MOT time for them).
47058 is sitting with 47059 (due at Lillyhall) in Carlisle undergoing preparations for new paint (could have been painted by now, not sure). they would have usually been done by now, but vehicles such as newly converted 16329 have taken priority in paintshops, due to the lack of Open Top vehicles for Seatoller 78 (both OT Titan's CE use on that route are now off service :( so they are trying to get the newly converted Olympians into service ASAP)

20795,21004 and 21005 all made an appearance on the 3/4.
16660 on the 81B
16665 on the 935
few Leylands B10's on other school routes. Versa on the 80.

Traffic been diverted away from Scale hall atm so all services have to go up to the first roundabout and double back down a side road.

An un-washed 33166 made a brief appearance on Town services this morning, before it brokedown, replaced by an B10M, which then also brokedown, this was then replaced by 33173. Other buses which were on Town services today were 33165, 34217, & 47057, with 20710 doing a couple of trips before doing the afternoon D3.

16663 was on the 755 this morning, could not help notice a large dent in the roof above the rear most offside window. with 22814 doing the last one this afternoon.
16655 & 18279 on the X35's.
