Tridents entered service on a Sunday (I have the actual date somewhere) and by the Wednesday they were all VOR with various faults. In the first week of Trident operation they were substituted by MANs to the detriment of the 3 & 4 which was seeing B10Ms. Many passengers complained to the county council which resulted in MANs being returned the 3/4 circuit and Tridents being substituted by whatever could get out of the gate under its own power!!
