There is a Scunthorpe bus review taking place: https://www.research.net/r/nlcbus
Has this been swept away?

Well, Lincolnshire RoadCar simplified the Scunthorpe town bus route numbers with 1, 2, 3 etc back in I think 2005, then two years after Stagecoach took over, they 'relaunched' network but for some strange reason with higher up numbers apart from the number 6.This was supposed to have happened age's ago, nice to see its at long last.
What's wrong with the 12?
There did uses to be a 1 that extended to Asda in the RoadCar days.If Stagecoach took over the route I would be very surprised if it would be kept. Ie operate 2/3 via Cemetery Road on the eastern side of the route, extend the 1 to the Asda TC. I would go a bit further with the changes including revised the 4.
That going back many moons now! 80s?There did uses to be a 1 that extended to Asda in the RoadCar days.
I remember walking up Scotter Road just opposite Asda and seeing a bus stop and a timetable which surprised me, as none of the current map leaflets show a single route serving that part of Scotter Road. That going back many moons now! 80s?
Too bad in 2005 I didn't pay much attention to the routes.Your just rejig my memory! I think it spring 2005? the new network come in.
1: every 15mins Town Central - Westcliff, doing a loop down Scotter road and back up the other side.
2/3 every 30mins but give Quebec road a bus every 15mins
5: was every 20mins Via Lilaa Ave - Ashby did all of Timberlands, Via Valley view drive...
The current 31 pretty much grabbed all the passengers on most of the routes...
Do believe that one was planned before COVID struck! It's been a while It seem Lincoln has had another minor revamp which has seen a NEW X6 from birchwood to the Hospital, while the 3s now go via monk Road. It would seem some good ideas are coming out of this covid.
