i'd guess the 620 will also go over?
I doubt it, as it works from Stroud down to Tetbury and on to bath quite well.

Monday to Friday there's another vehicle that starts in service at Old Sodbury and does 4 and a half round trips to Bath before returning direct to Stroud.
Possibly one for the Bristol outstation unless there's a wish to keep both 620s at Stroud?
Of course there may be timetable changes to come for the 84, 85, 86 and 620 to coincide with the opening of the Bristol outstation which will negate any guessing at what may happen in September.
I don't think it will be moved to begin with, but if things go well then it might well be. A possible idea could be to work with councils and have the 69 being Stroud - Yate and the 620 Yate - Bath. It's possible to work it like that.
the current 620 situation could actually be a handy way to get buses between the main depot and outstation
Roger might be retiring all selling up to Stagecoach. The tie up was a strategic business by Stagecoach. They will take over a working depot. All will be revealed in July.As most will know Stagevoach and First tend to battle it out wherever they operate. This is just a start
That is why imo First will be very closely following all this. You didn't say it, but Stagecoach have had a tendency to win such battles, if anyone can be declared a winner. I might just add that I don't necessarily believe Stagecoach would win here if it came to a battle if First kept their nerve.

Interesting. Give Stagecoach an inch and they take a mile!
Why? Stagecoach now has a base for Megabus work and council tenders. I think First will be rather pleased its managed to replace Wessex with Stagecoach.
Think about it.... Stagecoach won't be happy with tendered routes for long. First will be on the receiving end of high uality competition and will find it a lot harder to fight off compared to Wessex.
All this speculation, why not wait and see what is going to happen.
First may come to regret pushing Wessex out of Bristol.....

This could be interesting if Stagecoach do take on more work in Bristol. I unfortunately can't see First lasting much longer nationwide let alone in Bristol. Stagecoach will be welcome. Depending on where they're based I might even take up a job with them.
They're going to be based at the SG bus and coach depot next to Patchway railway station.
But would they look to move closer to centre at some point if things go well and they feel like competing more?
Wessex are still in Bristol!
This sounds interesting. According to the article a new operator has been found for Service 18 between Lyde Green and Avonmouth but "the new contractor has not been announced due to commercial reasons".....

It could be interesting as Stagecoach tend to be able to make longer distance services work, where First tend not to!
You change with the wind
14th June - "I think we are digging into this a little too much. Stagecoach will probably operate 77, the Yate services and a couple of 62s from Sgbc, plus maybe 18. First won't be overly worried - they've given up 18 to let someone else take it on knowing full well Stagecoach could get it. They have bigger fish to fry with Metrobus and the ongoing staff shortages to sort out. Any work that can't be easily operated from depots will likely go, which luckily won't leave much more to go."
Six days to go from "nothing to see here" to full First implosion.....
