It is the timetable change date, so possible they haven't set up advance fares yet.Does anyone know why? Are Advanced tickets being phased out ?
In my experience its common now for Advance tickets to be released less, sometimes far less, than 12 weeks prior now especially where there is a timetable change in-between.Southern usually release advanced tickets 12 weeks in advance.
However, they stop abruptly on May 22nd.

Nope, that isn't happening. If anything, there will be more Advance tickets.I hope that you are right on this. This is very unlike Southern. I’m keeping a close eye, and the closer we get to May 22nd the more concerned I am that they have been removed permanently as part of the fare shake-up.
My hope (albeit futile) is for advances to be available up to the time of departure, but I'm sure that won't happen for a while yet.Nope, that isn't happening. If anything, there will be more Advance tickets.
Removal of advances isn't part of the 'fare shake-up'. In fact the 'shake-up' is rather dull for lack of significant change tbh.I hope that you are right on this. This is very unlike Southern. Some TOCs are into SeptemberGreater Anglia, Southeastern, Chiltern, CrossCountry, ScotRail, Avanti (weekends only), EMR (weekends only), Lumo (not sure how they're affected by the TT change though) and GTR are yet to release advance fares post-timetable change. I doubt GTR will be axeing them.
Northern has released for the first week post-change, as have a few others.

They’re more useful during the peak which Southern (& Thameslink) actually sell Advances during now and have done for some time.Southern seem to have been introducing more tiers of Advance tickets, some of which are pointless except for the very longest routes, especially when the walk-up tickets can be discounted using a Network Railcard.
LNER I noticeSome TOCs are into September
Indeed they are, I’ve already booked my trains up to Newcastle and back for the Great North Run weekend. Some TOCs are into September
Haven’t seen any advanced tickets for peak travel? Would that only be with certain railcards perhaps ?They’re more useful during the peak which Southern (& Thameslink) actually sell Advances during now and have done for some time.
I used a £10 (Railcard-discounted) Advance single on Monday from Brighton to Victoria with Thameslink to East Croydon then Southern onwards, which for getting to London round half eight in the morning is pretty good!
Weekly update - Southern advanced tickets continue to fall off a cliff w/c 23rd May.Nope, that isn't happening. If anything, there will be more Advance tickets.

As I said, no need to be concerned. They will appear. They are not being abolished.Weekly update - Southern advanced tickets continue to fall off a cliff w/c 23rd May.
Getting concerned the end of cheap travel is nigh….
Only if you book with the TOC though, no choice of retailer allowed...Some TOCs are into September
If there isn't already it's coming soon.Only if you book with the TOC though, no choice of retailer allowed...
I thought that was blocked on a certain project which has no hope of being completed anytime soon, is that not the case anymore? If there isn't already it's coming soon.
LNER already had a solution before the industry project kicked off so I think that's just being used. Don't think it can cope with every retailer thoughI thought that was blocked on a certain project which has no hope of being completed anytime soon, is that not the case anymore?
That matches more with what I thought. Sounds like other retailers having the extended horizons isn't anytime soon still thenLNER already had a solution before the industry project kicked off so I think that's just being used. Don't think it can cope with every retailer though
