Brandon: As much as a funky idea it would be to have some HSTs that run non-stop through Derby there's not a lot of point and it would hardly be flying. More than 20mph.

all (or the vast majority) of HSTs are being taken off London - Sheffield and are now going on to London - Nottingham, of which a couple are being extended to Lincoln via Newark Castle. All meridians will go on to Sheffield trains

Owch well the people living between derby and sheffield will have to deal with mainly just XC HST's like the rest of us.

yh, as when 222s are on peak time trains, all the passengers are stuck standing up, but on a HST, there is a lot of space, except for that one we saw when me and miles came back from Chesterfield!!!

In Preston last weekend, walking the travelodge late in the evening, we saw a rather odd looking shop called "Hell mart" in black and red lettering. It was scary. Just as we stopped to look at it, someone cycled by on a black bike, wearing all black, including a black hood/cape. No lights. Someone took a photo, not sure if it came out though, if it did, I am sure 'Death' would be interested!
