Not really, I work for First!!. As for units and liveries, quite a few still have Thameslink logos on the side but never taken numbers so can't help you there. Really miss the 319/2's which worked on Thameslink right up until the 31st of March but not something I think we shall see again for quite a while although the morning London Bridge to Wimbledon and Wimbledon to Victoria/London Bridge via Sutton are still worked by 319/2's so I still get to work them now and again

nah, it's the first 319/2 in Southern Livery and I have been on it today,
but anyway i don't care now about 319220, because i have got it and i have been on it first day of service

I really can see how stubborn that cow Elaine Holt is really is, i've
noticed in the First Capital Connect Forum in the First Capital
Connect Website, that she was talking about the 13 Southern 319s, Do
you really reckon FCC should have the Southern 319s, I don't FCC
should have them at all, FCC should get the 180s for their express
routes and put the 365s on Local so that the Ex-BedPans can go to the
Thameslink route and help out with the Overcrowding Issues

Face it. If the 319s are surplus to Southern, then it makes sense to hire them out to another company who actually needs them. As long as they are suitable and get the commuters from work, how on Earth can you justify not doing so? FCC need as many units as they can get, even hiring in 317s. If you were in charge of Southern, you'd have 100mph dual voltage EMUs run on suburban routes, which are coping fine with 377s and 455s. Meanwhile, you'd let FCC commuters cope with short trains, waste money maintaining them when you can gain money lending them, whilst you'd have no practical use for them? Sounds like a great idea :roll:

And WTF is up with this mad 180 suggestion? Its more than daft to use diesels on a route which uses a single type of EMU. And Im sure the commuters in the city would prefer to travel through tunnels which don't stink of nasty smoke.....

If an open station like Paddington stinks of diesel fumes, then the tunnels of the city will suffer much more. Which is why its such a daft idea. And a train isn't sealed if the windows are open

180's would DEFFINATALLY not be suited to these services, OHLE is for electric trains, that service doesn't use any diesel only lines, like say the HC, so why use a 180, if they wanted new trains, they should get some Desiros, they are VERY fast acclerating & braking, the air-con always works IMO & they are quite high capacity & the doors are fairly bad, in terms of the time it takes for them to shut, 377's have an advantage over this...

180's would DEFFINATALLY not be suited to these services, OHLE is for electric trains, that service doesn't use any diesel only lines, like say the HC, so why use a 180, if they wanted new trains, they should get some Desiros, they are VERY fast acclerating & braking, the air-con always works IMO & they are quite high capacity & the doors are fairly bad, in terms of the time it takes for them to shut, 377's have an advantage over this...

I don't subscribe to the last run club mate. Its a 40 which does occasional enthusiast tours, might be a last mainline registered one but it doesn't interest me.

Southern now actually need something to cover the 319's current SU diagrams especially with 456's going off for refurbishment. To me the easiest option is 458's but it comes down to Porterbrook, South West Trains, Southern and First coming to an agreement plus you have the delay of getting train crew trained. I totally agree with that you say but common sense is in such short supply these days I think both companies will stay in stalemate until a higher power intervenes.

A 4 car unit has been running around the Wimbledon loop every day for the past few weeks, booked to pass TOO at around 12:50 but that is for Gatwick Express.

If it is for Southern then it is very good news.

Oi! there was NO need for that, all desiros I have been on have working air-con, I am sorry that I am not based at Northam Depot & can get info on what does & doesn't work, SORRY SIR. There was no need for that at all!
