Guidance for those asking for advice:
Please bear in mind the following, when asking for advice in this section:
* When referring to any stations, please write station names out in full the first time you refer to them; subsequently you may refer to correct station codes (as available here).
- We need to know all relevant facts in order to assist you, including, for example:
- The stations* where you actually started & finished your journey
- The stations* where you changed trains (if applicable);
- If you presented a ticket(s), the information* stated under "Ticket type", "From", "To", "Route", and any other relevant details;
- Details of any Railcard(s) held;
- When and where ticket(s) were purchased, including whether this was prior to the journey commencing;
- What happened in any encounter with railway staff;
- Upload copies of any paperwork (with personal details redacted) with your post.
- We need to know what outcome(s) you would consider satisfactory
- We ask that you start your own thread as we have, in general, a one case per thread policy as we have found that every case is different even if they may appear similar at first glance.
Thanks. There's quite a lot we can work out from the letter (in particular, it's from GTR, who are one of the train companies that it's possible to negotiate with - that's good news. Although I didn't think they operated into St Pancras?<edit> explained below - makes sense now</edit>) but (as I see @John R has just asked) it would help if you could tell us why you were pulled over, and what happened.I have attached the letter
Search for posts on here by member Hadders who regularly suggests some points to make in your apology.Yes I did it before may be 3 4 times as well but I am not pretty much sure

But after that incident I never did that so I just want to know that how to proceed with it as I dont want to deal with court I want any out of court settlement
Pedantry alert. Although Thameslink has dedicated platforms the station name is the same as for the other 3 parts, London St Pancras International.Presumably you were stopped at the St. Pancras Thameslink station.
See this thread for an idea of the sort of reply you could send in response to the letter you have received. Specifically post #22Yes It was st pancras thameslink station

Whilst I do agree that it would have been easier had the draft response been posted here for comment / check before being written on the original response documents, having looked at what has been handwritten and uploaded I don't think it needs significant editing so it may simply be easier for the OP to now keep a copy of this for their records and send off what they have written as their reply using a tracked postal service.I am afraid it is difficult to respond in detail to an upload (especially if it is handwritten).
Please could you type your draft and post it here for suggestions. You can then print the final version on a separate sheet, including the case reference, and attach it to the response form. Just write "see attached reply" on the form.
The person reviewing your reply will thank you for making it easy to read (and a single side of paper)![]()
