A chapel dedicated to St Mungo was built in Culross by one Robert Blackadder, Bishop of Glasgow, in the early 16th Century. A more modern bearer of the name is, of course Edmund Blackadder, the hero (or possibly anti-hero) of the eponymous BBC-1 comedy series.
Edmund is in fact four different people in the four series, each descended from the previous one. We are told very little about any the versions of Edmund, but although their birthplaces may be unknown there is a definite link with Alnwick in Northumberland, the castle being the location of much of the filming of the first series.
